Eaton's Electrical Sector - Power Distribution & Controls Assemblies (PDCA) business is seeking a dynamic Plant Manager to lead our manufacturing campus in Greenwood, South Carolina. Relocation assistance will be provided.
Our non-union campus includes a main site with nearly 700 employees spread across 250,000+ square feet, and a nearby site with 50 employees occupying 115,000+ square feet. This complex handles the manufacturing of medium voltage switchgears utilizing various processes such as fabrication, welding, painting, assembly, and testing. Greenwood is conveniently located near Greenville and Columbia in Upstate South Carolina.
Reporting to the Vice President of Operations, PDCA, our Plant Manager is responsible for driving strategic and operational leadership. They drive profit and loss, growth strategy and organizational direction to meet and exceed short and long-term business goals. In this role you will:
- Hire, review, motivate direct reports to accomplish specific plant objectives
- Develop and execute initiatives to measure and improve key business drivers (i.e., Safety, Quality, Customer Satisfaction, Productivity, Inventory, Growth, Profitability and Development of People)
- Review and execute competitive, long and short-term business plans for the product line which include dynamic market strategies, upgrading engineering and manufacturing technologies, as well as organizational restructuring
- Develop and maintain compliance with the plant Quality Management plan and maintain ISO Certification
- Develop existing plant human resources to maximize value added per employee while assuring compliance to all federal, state, and corporate regulations concerning EEO, AAP, OSHA and EPA
- Maintain and maximize the utilization of the corporate assets of plant building and grounds, machine tools, process equipment, computer systems and material inventories
- Develop effective communications and spirit of teamwork between the plant operation and field sales, customers, other division plants and the division staff. Fosters an environment which promotes Eaton's business goals, encourages continuous improvement, and builds customer relationships
- Develop and implement plans to enhance the quality of work life within the plant by assuring that open channels of communication exist with employees; participative employee teams are cultivated and trained; and clean, safe working conditions are maintained
- Assure compliance with established accounting practices for the control and reporting of financial performance
- Plan and direct facilities investments to improve productivity and provide production capacity consistent with sales volume objectives. Accountable for the day-to-day decisions that directly impact the quality, delivery, inventory, productivity and profitability
Your Qualifications:
- Demonstrated ability and successful track record of growing sales, profits, leading operations, and delivering results
- Proven ability to build, communicate and execute a vision for strategic and operational change and possess excellent interpersonal and communication/presentation skills
- Experience within the electrical industry with background in operations, technical/product marketing, or sales
- Thorough understanding of financial practices and financial statements including; capital equipment analysis, cost accounting, budgeting, project cost analysis, maintenance analysis and organizational techniques
- Minimum ten (10) years previous experience in a manufacturing setting related to Operations, Quality, Continuous Improvement/OPEX or Supply Chain management
- Minimum five (5) years previous management of people experience
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution is required. Master's degree preferred
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship both now and in the future

The expected annual salary range for this role is $176249.97 - $258499.96 a year. This role is also eligible for a variable incentive program.
