Eaton's ES AMER ARS division is currently seeking a Planner / Buyer at our El Paso, TX location.

The expected annual salary range for this role is $80250.03 - $117700.04 a year. This position is also eligible for a variable incentive program.

What you'll do:

PRIMARY FUNCTION:
Manage the procurement of all production & non-production items consumed in the areas within his/her responsibility to achieve short-term and long-term business objectives, overall responsibility for customer requirements, production control, On Time Delivery, Finished Goods inventory level and reorder point. Provides VSM support regarding SIOP process to identify continuity of the business. Interface closely with all manufacturing support functions, including Manufacturing. This position will also be responsible for scheduling assembly and fabrication parts, scheduling orders and associated tasks, and leading and presenting action plans to improve metrics. You will be reviewing incoming demand with Value Stream Managers to meet business needs. Engineering, Production, and Quality Engineering

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

-Manages product line assigned purchasing performance, including quality, cost and on-time delivery performance of suppliers.

-Understands the MRP/ERP functions and rules and continuously drives for improvements in the system (usage, accuracy, compliance, etc.) and integration into the manufacturing process, including the implementation of ERP Rules.

-Manages and reviews inputs (SIOP, cycle counting, physical inventory, profit planning) and controls (min. /max. levels, lead times, etc.) of the ordering process to ensure that inventory levels (purchase parts, WIP, finished goods, consignment, in-transit etc.) to meet Plant, Division and Corporate expectations.

-Has full control of the production plan in every production line to satisfy customer requested dates.
-Provides input, support and guidance regarding the Sales, Inventory, Operating and Planning (SIOP) process and uses the process to drive improvements into the Materials Planning / Scheduling function to ensure adequate resources are identified, financial goals met, and customers are satisfied.

-Identifies and implements cost reduction opportunities by reviewing supplier capabilities, material options, and processing requirements in order to meet and/or exceed the cost reduction initiatives.
-Leads cross-functional process improvement teams.

SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE:

Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution
• A minimum of 2 years of Supply Chain experience required.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future
• No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates that currently reside within 50 miles of the EL Paso, TX facility will be considered. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.

Preferred Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or supply chain related field preferred
• 3+ years of Supply Chain experience preferred
• Bilingual in English/Spanish
• MRP system knowledge (MAPICS AS400)
• Engineering To Order (ETO) experience
