What you'll do:

The Paid Media Specialist will be responsible for managing and optimizing paid media campaigns across programmatic, paid social and Google ads and serve as a programmatic expert on the paid media team. Reporting directly to the Paid Media Campaign Manager as part of the Social & Paid Media Center of Excellence, they will be responsible for supporting campaign strategy by providing recommendations for tactics, audience targeting and budgets. They will also be responsible for continuously optimizing campaigns by adjusting bidding strategies, ad creatives, and targeting parameters and provide actionable insights to increase campaign performance.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan, execute and optimize paid media campaigns across other platforms including LinkedIn, Facebook and Google ads.
  • Analyze campaign performance data to identify trends, insights, and areas for improvement, and provide regular reports and recommendations to stakeholders.
  • Manage media budgets, ensuring efficient budget allocations across channels, and provide monthly forecasts and actuals for every paid media placement.
  • Develop and implement audience targeting strategies based on business goals and data insights.
  • Work closely with internal teams (e.g., analytics, creative, content operations) and external partners (e.g., publishers, ad tech vendors) to ensure seamless campaign execution and optimization.
  • Oversee the setup, trafficking, and troubleshooting of ad campaigns. Ensure ads are set up accurately and meet quality and brand standards.
  • Continuously optimize campaigns by adjusting bidding strategies, ad creatives, and targeting parameters to enhance performance.
  • Keep abreast of industry trends, new technologies, and best practices in programmatic advertising.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree (BS/BA) in Business, Marketing, Advertising, Communications or associated field
  • 3-5 years of experience as a programmatic media buyer at an agency or brand

Skills:

  • Deep expertise in programmatic media buying with experience managing campaigns in demand side platform (DSP).
  • Advanced proficiency in programmatic platforms (e.g., Basis, The Trade Desk, Criteo, Stackadapt, Amobee, Adobe Advertising).
  • In-depth knowledge of other ad serving technologies including SSPs and DMPs.
  • Basic knowledge of HTML and JavaScript for troubleshooting and implementing tracking codes.
  • Familiarity with different bidding strategies (e.g., CPC, CPM, CPA) and optimization techniques.
  • Familiarity with industry tools like Google Tag Manager, DoubleVerify, MOAT and brand safety tools.
  • Proficiency in using excel for data manipulation, pivot tables, VLOOKUPS, and advanced formulas.
  • Advanced skills in data analysis and interpretations using tools like Google Analytics or PowerBI.
  • Ability to work independently with general guidance on new projects.
  • Strong verbal and written communication for internal audiences.
  • Analytical thinker with the ability to synthesize large amounts of data into concise and actionable storylines
  • Able to meet deadlines and establish clear priorities quickly - works effectively with tight deadlines and able to handle a heavy workload and organize and handle a multitude of different tasks in parallel.
