Eaton's GEIS division is currently seeking a Operations Supervisor (2nd shift).

The expected annual salary range for this role is $67500.0 - $99000.0 a year.

What you'll do:

  • Conduct Daily Team stand-up meeting with all department personnel in areas of responsibility.
  • Represent the company when interacting with production employees on the shop floor.
  • Help drive and implement safety policies and programs, meet operating budgets, complete continuous improvement plans, and coach employees on behavior/performance.
  • Monitor control plans, troubleshoot workmanship problems and supervise production activities to ensure manufactured products meet or exceed established quality requirements.
  • Create the basis for continuous improvement and employee empowerment by ensuring that standardized work processes are followed, and countermeasures are implemented where necessary.
  • Ensure that assigned personnel have appropriate training, work instruction and tools to successfully perform job.
  • Utilize lean six sigma methodologies to reduce operational costs, inventory and lead-times as well as ensure alignment with long-term manufacturing strategies.
  • Develop and establish manufacturing priorities based on the production schedule and monitor employee work requirements in order to meet customer deadlines.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by direct manager

Qualifications:

Required Qualifications:

  • Associates degree or higher from an accredited institution
  • Minimum three (3) years of manufacturing, production, or operations experience
  • Minimum one (1) year of leadership experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now and in the future.
  • No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates residing within a 50-mile radius of Highland, IL will be considered. Active-duty military members are exempt from this geographical area limitation.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in operations, engineering, or related field of study from an accredited institution
  • Minimum three (3) years of related experience including increasing responsibility and leadership of projects and teams of considerable size, scope, and complexity in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with SAP business system experience.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office platform
  • Experience with Union environments
  • Experience with Continuous Improvement projects
