Eaton's Electrical sector is currently hiring a Operations Project Coordinator to join our team. This position is based at our Perth, Canada facility and offers benefits from Day 1.
What you'll do:
As our project coordinator, your job will be to coordinate people and processes to ensure all of the above projects are delivered on time and produce the desired results. You will be the go-to person for everything involving a project's organization and timeline. Your responsibilities will be include developing detailed project plans, ensuring resource availability and allocation, and delivering every project on time within budget and scope.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact on our supply chain management (SCM) processes. You will collaborate closely with the SCM-SIOP leader, leveraging advanced tools to enhance the daily operations of our planners. Your efforts will be pivotal in refining inventory management, reducing lead times, and streamlining planning functions.

You will play a crucial role in developing new vendor relationships in the Ottawa/Montreal area, aiming to minimize lead times and improve turnaround times. Additionally, you will be at the forefront of our Industry 4.0 initiatives, introducing cutting-edge automated equipment and robotics technology to enhance safety, quality, and production efficiency.
As we embark on a major building expansion project, you will be instrumental in planning and executing strategies to support our growth and sustainability goals. This includes managing volumes, warehouse space, receiving, shipping, and returns.
Your project management skills will be essential in coordinating internal resources and third-party vendors to ensure flawless project execution. You will be responsible for delivering projects on time, within scope, and within budget. This involves developing comprehensive project scopes and objectives, engaging all relevant stakeholders, and ensuring technical feasibility.
You will ensure resource availability and allocation, develop detailed project plans to track progress, and use appropriate verification techniques to manage changes in project scope, schedule, and costs. Measuring project performance using advanced systems, tools, and techniques will be part of your routine.
You will report and escalate issues to management as needed, manage relationships with clients and stakeholders, and perform risk management to minimize project risks. Establishing and maintaining strong relationships with third parties and vendors will be key to your success in this role.
Qualifications:
Required (Basic) Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in a related field from an accredited post-secondary institution.
- Three (3) years of experience working with complex and large projects in the industry, either in project management, or engineering
- Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification
- Must be eligible to work in Canada without company sponsorship
- No relocation is offered. Candidates must reside within 80 km of Perth, Ontario
Preferred Qualifications:
- Solid technical background, with understanding or direct experience in I4.0 technology
- Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office
- PMP / PRINCE II certification.
