Eaton's ES AMER ARS PDCAD division is currently seeking a Operational Excellence / Quality Manager in Arden, NC.

The expected annual salary range for this role is $91500.03 - $134200.04 a year. Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

What you'll do:

Lead and deploy strategic initiatives through the Eaton Business System, Eaton Quality Management System, and ISO9001 compliance. Utilize Eaton's ECIS deployment to drive continuous improvement through the business while achieving high 5 metrics in Safety, Quality, Delivery, Inventory, and Productivity. Develop and drive an Industry 4.0 Roadmap to continue to enhance the effectiveness of the operation. Guide the team through the Operations Assessment and other strategic elements deployed through EBS. Leading and improving organizational effectiveness through the coordination and deployment of the strategic quality plan in conjunction with the plant leadership team to ensure the business meets growth, productivity, and quality objectives and for managing the quality assurance strategy to ensure product flow consistent with established industry standards, government regulations and customer requirements.

A. Drive continual improvement in the Eaton Business System throughout the organization; and drive continual quality improvement through the Quality Management System. Influence and drive resources to resolve customer quality issues, escalating issues as necessary.
B. Interface with customers and internal stakeholders to drive timely resolution and continuous improvement of quality performance.
C. Facilitate Quality and CI Councils to promote project selection, action tracking, lessons learned, etc. throughout the facility
D. Facilitate a product warranty system driving feedback to responsible departments and assuring permanent corrective action. Coordinate between engineering services, sales and marketing and plant operations for warranty resolution that maximizes customer resolution at a minimum cost.
E. Align and work with Heywood Rd Quality Manager for ISO9001 certification activities, audits, EQMS management reviews, etc.
F. Drive operational strategy for continuous improvement through ECIS tool deployment, I4.0 technologies, and engaged employee culture. Tools listed but not limited to include 8D's, Six Sigma, BPI's, RIE's etc.
G. Manage all activities deployed through Operational Excellence, Quality, and Process Validation strategies.
H. Drive data analytics through all leading and lagging indicators for Operational Excellence and Quality while reporting out action plans, wins, and opportunities through the Senior Leadership Team
I. Responsible for the development and management of capital projects that fall under the purview of Operational excellence and growth, not covered under Facilities management.
J. Direct manufacturing engineering, design for manufacturability, and engineering technical related efforts to drive product and process improvements increasing safety, quality, and productivity with large focus around latent risk and waste reduction.
K. Serve as ProLaunch Leader for Operational Excellence and Quality functions for any new product development launches or process/layout changes.
L. Manage Cost Out Database projects meeting profit plan cost out expectations through Integrated Deck Building, VA/VE, etc.
M. Support the MESH initiatives and Zero Incident Safety Culture

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering from an accredited institution
• Minimum of 3 years' experience in manufacturing, quality, and/or engineering

• Minimum of 2 years' experience as a manager of people
• Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship
• No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates that currently reside within 50 miles of the Arden, NC facility will be considered. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.

Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience in Eaton Business System and Eaton Quality Management System
• Six Sigma Black Belt or Green Belt Certification
• Experience in ISO9001 Quality Management Systems
