Eaton's ES AMER ARS division is currently seeking a Operational Excellence OPEX Manager. This position will be based at our Sumter, SC facility. The position does offer relocation assistance.
The expected annual salary range for this role is $120075.03 - $176110.04 a year. This position is also eligible for a variable incentive program.

Position Overview:
The OpEx Manager owns the site's Manufacturing Engineering (IE), Facilities, and Continuous Improvement engineering functions. Additionally, the OpEx Manager leads site operational strategic planning, Eaton Business System maturity levels, and productivity project development and deployment.

In this function you will:
• Lead the Manufacturing Engineering, Facilities Management, and Continuous Improvement engineering functions across the Sumter campus
• Develop site operational footprint plans to achieve Eaton Sumter's growth, manufacturing, and I4.0 advancement objectives
• Work closely with all groups across the plant to develop, train, and lead improvement events with the goal of increasing the number, employee engagement, and effectiveness of continuous improvement activities using various CI methodologies (A3, Lean, BPS, etc)
• Maintain ISO 9001 registration and have -0- major findings
• Lead planning and cross-functional execution of activities to increase the results on Eaton's Operating Assessment (OpA) manufacturing maturity process.
• Develop projects to achieve the site's cost savings and productivity objectives
• Drive a Zero Safety Incident culture via sponsorship and execution of cultural, behavioral, and engineering improvements to prevent employee injuries from occurring
• Own the CapEx profit plan and execution of key projects across the campus
• Develop the resources within the OpEx Department via training and professional growth opportunities to prepare them for increasing responsibilities
• Own the site's I4.0 roadmap and drive improved decision making, safety, quality, and productivities using digital tools and automation
• Lead installed capacity planning and execution as part of the SIOP (Sales, Inventory & Operational Planning) process to ensure machine & layout capacities to achieve the profit plan
• Drive projects ensure strong site aesthetics and visual controls across the manufacturing site, including exterior, office, and the shop floor (painting, lighting, flooring)
• Support and lead projects to drive energy efficiency in alignment with Eaton's 2030 GHG reduction initiatives
• Lead design, development, and revisions workstation designs, method sheets/work instructions, and manufacturing aids
Qualifications:
Required (Basic) Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
- Minimum of 5 years of manufacturing experience
- Minimum 2 years managing people or project teams
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Eaton Business System and OpA
- Facilities Management experience
- Certified Quality Engineer or Certified Quality Manager certificate
- Certified Six Sigma Greenbelt
- Experience with Eaton Quality Systems, Safety Process, ProLaunch Process

- Effective communication and teaching skills (written & verbal) required
- Ability to manage conflict while maintaining a professional posture
- Must be responsive and able to address emergency actions in support of a 24/7 manufacturing operation
- Demonstrated proficiency with basic manufacturing tools such as Lean, Six-Sigma, problem solving/decision making.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to support customer and manufacturing requirements
- Ability to influence without authority
- Proficiency with Auto Cad
