Ontario Project Sales Manager

Eaton's ES AMER PCS division is currently seeking a Ontario Project Sales Manager. This position is based at our Mississauga, ON facility and offers a hybrid working schedule.

What you'll do:

Manage and drive the high performing Ontario Projects Group with a team that includes centralized Project Sales and Quotation Sales Specialists. You will be responsible for the management, training and quality of the team. Projects personnel provide front-end/pre-order negotiation support to Ontario (and at times national) Sales in all market segments including Commercial Construction, Industrial, Utility and Alternative Energy. With a goal to increase national market presence through interpreting customer plans and specifications, preparing proposals, configuration of equipment, while managing/authorizing project pricing, identifying/assessing pricing for specific project risk, and monitoring & reacting to market segment dynamics. You will lead and deliver a negotiation volume with a goal of exceeding the profit plan objectives for Ontario Sales.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Managing Large and Major Projects with an objective of delivering in project configurations and proposals annually to Ontario Sales.
  • Manage the Gen dealer while impacting the E-OEM project pricing band.
  • Develop and maintain project pricing tools, conduct risk assessments and manage of the data base to report emerging customer and competitive trends.
  • Report negotiation activity, orders obtained and price realization across the business.
  • Train and develop professional staff to provide to result in career growth.
  • Maintain the highest level of integrity and credibility for this department in all dealings with internal and external customers.

Qualifications:

Basic (required) Qualifications:

  • College degree/diploma in Engineering Technology OR CET from accredited institution
  • Seven (7) years of sales experience in roles of increasing responsibility within similar industry environment
  • Must currently reside within 80km of the posted working location (Mississauga, ON)
  • Must be eligible to work in Canada without company sponsorship now and in the future

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited university
  • Experience coordinating and leading all commercial terms and conditions of a Contracts Department and Executive Leadership
  • Previous experience leading order closing activities and order transition for project management teams
  • Previous experience driving quarterly reporting and analysis for senior leadership
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively develop and implement price band management
