Eaton's ES AMER NAS division is currently seeking an OEM Application Engineer. This is a hybrid-based position and candidates must reside within 50 miles of the following locations to be considered for the position: Moon Township, PA; Hanover, MD; Boothwyn, PA; Mountainside, NJ; New York, NY or Franklin, MA. Relocation assistance will be offered for successful applicants who live outside these locations.

What you'll do:

Position Overview:

This role will report to the OEM Regional Sales Vice President and the position requires travel at a minimum of 50% of the time. The OEM Application Engineer leads the specification, testing and implementation of solutions for our customers using Eaton industrial components, power components and power distribution portfolio (PLC's, HMI's, variable frequency drives, relays, molded case circuit breakers, trip units, etc.).

In this function you will:

  • Interpret customer specifications, drawings and schematics to assist with quotes and solutions
  • Develop and conduct training for regional sales team, end users and channel partners
  • Provide technical assistance for the regional sales team
  • Effectively communicate product line value proposition and strategies
  • Provide support on applicable codes and standards associated with the products
  • Proactively communicate VOC and recommend product enhancements to the product lines
  • Maintain and expand product knowledge base
  • Participate in product road mapping, strategy, and planning sessions with the product lines

Qualifications:

Required (Basic) Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
  • Minimum seven (7) years of electrical industry sales/marketing and/or engineering experience
  • Possess a valid driver's license

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent from an accredited institution
  • Master's degree in engineering or equivalent
  • Minimum 10 years' electrical industry sales/marketing and/or engineering experience
  • Experience with control systems, automation, industrial processes and various programming software packages such as Codesys
  • Experience working with third-party certification agencies, codes, and standards (i.e., UL508, UL891, UL1558, etc.)

The compensation range for this full-time position includes base pay and target sales performance incentive. This position has a target total compensation range of $138,750 - $203,500.

Base salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
