Working with an experienced team, the successful candidate will be a qualified electrician, have exceptional customer service skills, experience report writing, and the ability to build and maintain relationships with customers, service coordinators, vendors and suppliers.

The day-to-day responsibilities will include the installation, testing, commissioning, servicing and repairing of PQ and DCUninterruptable Power Supply (UPS) products and systems for critical power applications, ensuring equipment conforms with company operation to both ng specifications and customer requirements. You will be driven by a strong passion to deliver a great experience for our customers and be an ambassador for the Eaton brand.T

Eaton is recruiting both technicians with UPS experience as well as electrically qualified persons with the aptitude and passion to be trained in a highly specialized field with exposure to the dynamic data centre industry. Eaton will provide intensive training in both hardware and software, potential for international travel and experience and a structured structured career carrre path for your future.

Your essential responsibilities:
• Perform your duties with a high regard and awareness for safe working practices and compliance to EHS protocols.
• Install and maintain critical power equipment and perform in-house and on-site repairs as required in accordance with service and maintenance agreements
• Modify or update equipment where required
• Liaise with Project Management to carry out site inspection, commissioning, and testing of Project jobs,critical power systems including, creating, modifying of all documentation and reports for submission
• Provide technical assistance/support and training to Technical Staff and Service Contractors and customers where required
• Respond to requests for emergency repairs and provide rostered standby support 24/7
• Perform FAT/SAT testing on units and prepare detailed reports on tests carried out
• Ensure on time submission of reports

Qualifications:

• Diploma or degree qualification in electrical, electronics, mechatronics or Industrial Automation
• 5 years' experience in a technical role servicing electrical or power electronics equipment

Skills:

• A-Grade Electrician

• Intermediate skills in MS Office and ERP systems (Oracle, SAP)
• Exceptional communication skills
• Proven experience writing reports
• Ability to organize, prioritize, plan, follow up and work autonomously
