Eaton's ES AMER ARS PDCAD division is currently seeking a MIG Welder - 1st Shift at our Omaha, NE facility!
Shift Hours: 6:00am - 3:30pm Monday - Thursday; 6am - 10am Friday. Overtime may exceed these hours, and can be mandatory.
The hourly rate for this position is $20.50 - $23.00 per hour.

What you'll do:
The Welder is responsible for performing a variety of welding and some fabrication operations to fabricate our metal clad medium voltage switchgear product line which contain many parts and substantial fitting and aligning of components. Experience with blueprints and attention to detail will help you be successful in our engineered to order business.
In this function you will:
• MIG weld mild steel to design print specifications
• Grind and finish welds to align with quality and visual standards
• Receive work assignments from supervisor or team lead as directed
• Work from manufacturing information, sketches, drawings, oral and written instructions
• Assist in the maintenance and correction of blueprint errors
• Assist in identifying and suggesting ideas for Safety, and Continuous Improvement
• Maintain work areas with effective 5S+ practices
Qualifications:
Required Qualifications:
• High school diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
• Minimum of 6 months MIG welding experience
• Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship, now and in the future
• Must reside within a 60 mile radius of Omaha, NE. Active Duty military are exempt from the geographical requirement
Preferred Qualifications:
• One (1) year experience MIG Welding experience
• Welding Certification or Associates Degree
• One (1) year experience working with precision measuring devices
Position Success Criteria:
• Ability to read a tape measure down to the 1/16th
• Use material handling equipment, including powered industrial vehicles, to move product and supplies. May lift and carry up to 50 lbs. and push or pull up to 100 lbs. occasionally with assistance or use of overhead crane.
• Must wear proper steel fabrication PPE, such as steel toe shoes, safety glasses, material handling gloves, ear protection and long sleeve shirt or cut resistant slip-ons
• Contribute to a safe, clean, and productive work environment
