What you'll do:

As an ETO Engineering Co-op, you will be responsible for development and execution of customer-centric solutions for NEC markets. This role requires strong communication skills, ambition, drive, and extensive engineering experience, along with enthusiasm for product design. Responsibilities include designing to special customer requests through Engineered to Order (ETO) product designs, providing manufacturing support for manufacture of ETO designs, and offering technical leadership for ongoing customer inquiries. Reporting to the ETO Manager, you will independently develop and direct a broad range of product design projects, assuming responsibility for all technical project activities, including high-level product design elements.

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

• Actively enrolled in a bachelor's degree program in a Mechanical, Industrial or Electrical Engineering at an accredited institution
• Must be able to do a minimum six (6) month assignment.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now and in the future
• Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.8 or higher (please don't round).
• Relocation is not provided for this role, the candidate must be located within 50 miles of Syracuse, NY.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous experience working in a manufacturing environment
• Experience with 2D drawing creation/3D modeling (ACAD, Solidworks/Enovia), ERP systems (SAP) and Microsoft applications
• Prior internship or co-op experience
