Eaton's new campus for its critical power systems in Vantaa, Finland, was completed in November 2023. The 16,500 m² site houses research and development, manufacturing, warehousing, sales and service under one roof, which will create plenty of additional jobs.

As one of the world's largest manufacturers of three-phase uninterruptible power supplies (UPS), Eaton's expansion in this area is driven by strong business growth and the demand for systems that ensure business continuity. Situated in a prime location next to the Helsinki airport, the Vantaa facility will serve as Eaton's Critical Power Solutions headquarters and a center of excellence for data centers.

We offer you a trainee position in mechanical design and engineering at our new Eaton plant in Finland. You will work on projects and processes within the Mechanical Engineering Team in the NPI R&D unit. Your tasks will include engineering for electrical devices and systems from a mechanical design perspective, as well as the design of 3-phase UPS products. In this trainee role, you will gain a solid overview of Eaton products and engineering tasks. You'll learn about technical details, functions, as well as monitoring and safety systems

Skills:
- You are possibly a 3rd or 4th year student and you have occupational readiness for Mechanical Engineering Trainee
- Experience in mechanical design, 3D simulations and modelling of electrical systems (Mathworks tools preferred) or experience in programming with C++ are considered as benefit
- Studies with focus on control systems and/or power electronics are considered as benefit
