What you'll do:

Primarily responsible for product design in mechanical engineering domain at Electrical Sector EIIC Pune, for EnergyStorage and UPS application to meet technical, cost and market related technology requirement and timely launch of the product. Incumbent will work clsoely with global teams to identify opportunities for new technology, new products introductions of our products for performance and durability, plan for enhancements and leverage digital capabilities to keep us ahead of our competition. Delivers on project goals as individual contributor, and as a part of the team. Drive alignment and collaboration with global electrical sector engineering, supply-chain and plant. Achieve measurable outputs in terms of New Product Launch milestones, Cost outs($) goals and Sustaining Engineering throughput.

"Primary responsibility of this role is Sustainance Engineering and cost-out for UPS, Transformer and Static switch products products that will penetrate the international markets. Also this position responsibilities entails the identification and execution of cost savings initiatives through Value Analysis/Value Engineering (VA/VE).

• Designs, validates and releases system, sub-system and components independently as well as through team of engineers. Creates CAD drawings- detailing, 3D models, Assemblies etc. and ensure release in PLM / ERP system per project plan.

It requires having strong communication skills, drive, strong engineering acumen with enthusiasm in the product design arena.

Work in multiple programs/projects to achieve the business goals and Profit Plan objectives.

Own end to end tasks/projects including product design, detailing, design validation & testing of products.

Work in a cross functional/ multi-disciplinary team in making technology/ engineering decisions required for project execution.

• Create Intellectual Property documents (IPs) around new product design concepts / ideas and drive innovation from ideation through to execution.

• Perform a wide variety of engineering and technical tasks involving the application of engineering knowledge and the development of solutions to complex problems pertaining to products, materials, manufacturing processes, tests, and unique customer applications.

Qualifications:

Minimum education for this position is a Bachelor / Masters in Mechanical Engineering, with demonstrated experience in technical engineering organization.
4+ years of experience with multinational engineering organization

Skills:

Electrification Products Design for Automotive Applications
1. 3D CAD tools CREO, Solidworks, AutoCAD
2. Drawing creation, GD&T
3. Sheet metal and polymer component design
4. Design for manufacturing and assembly of sheet metal and polymer components
5. Electrical component selection and specifications

Good to have:
- Switchgear products understanding
- UL, NEMA standards certification requirements
- DFMEA"
