Eaton's ES AMER ARS division is currently seeking a Materials Planner. This role will take place out of our growing El Paso, TX facility.

As the Materials Planner, you are responsible for the planning and execution of getting material needed at the right time and right quantity and responsible for Inventory Value, DOH, E&O for each product line. This individual will work closely with the plant operations teams to deploy standard process and tools to optimize materials operations, manage Supplier leadership discussions, escalations to buyers and Commodity Managers. This will include onsite support for driving continuous improvement and problem solving.

The expected annual salary range for this role is $43499.97 - $63799.96 a year. This position is also eligible for a variable incentive program.

What you'll do:

  • Coordinate incoming raw materials from external vendors.
  • Checks shortage report and assures material availability.
  • Controls Inventory Value and is constantly checking overmax inventory to look for reduction opportunities.
  • Creation of purchased orders and monitor of material delivery.
  • Troubleshoot MRP exceptions.
  • Maintain Consignment levels and requests.
  • Maintain sales reports and analyze risk.
  • Expedite materials outside of the regular Ordering Process
  • Prioritizing delivery according to Planning Information regarding GO'/s
  • Monthly min/max analysis to avoid shortages or excess.
  • Lead material Deviations regarding material availability, (Quality, Logistics, Discrepancies)
  • Requests on time cycle counts in case item goes below 50% min and assures the production plan is covered.
  • Controls items to be with in min-max range.
  • Lead supplier discussions to avoid disruptions into the plant.
  • Maintains excess/obsolete material controlled.
  • Review material requirements planning, capacity requirements planning and logistics.
  • Perform other tasks as required.

Qualifications:

Required (Basic) Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in Supply Chain or a Bachelors Degree to be completed no later than December 2024.
  • Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and in the future.
  • No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of El Paso, TX will be considered. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree in Business or Supply Chain from an accredited institution.
  • Bilingual in English/Spanish

Skills:

  • Experience dealing with International and local Vendors.
  • Inventory Management/ Material Ordering Tools (Kanban/ Min and Max, etc.)
  • Experience implementing continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Strong communication skills
  • Proactive with problem solving
  • Sense of urgency and ownership on situations outside of their control
