Eaton's IS VEH VGNA division is currently seeking a Materials Business Team Leader. This position is based at our Kings Mountain, NC facility. Relocation benefits are available for those within the United States!

The Materials Business Team Leader will be responsible for the production and inventory control function for the Kings Mountain plant with approximately $230M~ in sales annually. Key production and inventory control related functions will include SIOP validation, RCCP for gears & shafts and clutch value streams, Production scheduling to meet sales, inventory and OTD goals, inventory control, cycle count, and warehousing.

The expected annual salary range for this role is $105000.03 - $154000.04 a year.

What you'll do:

  • Manage and direct KM Materials department personnel in the SIOP validation, production scheduling, and inventory control to ensure on-time delivery in 3 main channels (OEM, AM and Interco), while maintaining assigned inventory levels. Work with supply chain team (Planning and Commodity buyers) on supplier performance and cost out programs.
  • Serve as member of the plant's senior management team and provides leadership and support for all local, division and corporate initiatives and objectives.
  • Manage current and future demand requirements with manufacturing and supplier capabilities/capacities to ensure completion of customer requirements (RCCP)
  • Validate SIOP (Sales, Inventory and Operations Planning) Process. Analyzes data provided by Divisional SIOP team and recommend actions to facilitate optimal production plan execution.
  • MMA Co-champion, OpA/MM Co-champion,
  • Utilize continuous improvement framework, lean concepts, and problem-solving tools to design and improve the performance of the extended materials function (LMF champion)
  • Meet or exceed key metrics of days on hand, gross inventory, cycle count accuracy, and profit plan/budget forecasts. Manages inventory levels to meet established inventory & Days-on-Hand targets
  • Create strategy to increase the accuracy of physical inventory to assure the timely fulfillment of customer orders while maintaining inventory levels that are beneficial to the overall operation of the company
  • Support Supply Chain organizational capabilities and bench strength through functional excellence, training, and coaching

Qualifications:

Required Basic Qualifications:

  • Minimum of Bachelors Degree from an accredited institution
  • Minimum five (5) years of supply chain management experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Minimum two (2) years' experience managing or leading people within the salaried professional space
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and in the future
  • Relocation benefits area available for those within the United States willing to relocate to the Kings Mountain, NC area. Candidates within a 50-mile radius of Kings Mountain, NC will also be considered. Active Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Two years or higher of ERP system knowledge (Oracle)
  • Bachelors Degree in Business Management, Supply Chain and/or Engineering from an accredited institution
  • Procurement Supervisor or Master Scheduling Supervisor experience is a plus.
  • Knowledge of SIOP process
  • APICs (CPIM)

  • Analytical thinking to find cost outs projects and execute them.
  • Actively looks and analyzes new ways to optimize the material flow and storage process within the plant.

  • CI tools knowledge, Lean Material projections implementation experience.
