Material Planner/Buyer 2nd Shift

Eaton's ES AMER ARS division is currently seeking a Material Planner/Buyer 2nd Shift. The core hours are Monday through Friday from 3:30 pm to 12:!5 am.The rate for this position is $21.63 per hour plus a $1.00 per hour shift differential.This position is also eligible for a variable incentive program. Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, qualifications, and market and business considerations.

What you'll do:

This position is responsible of the planning and execution of obtaining needed material at the right time in the right quantity and also for Inventory Value, DOH, E&O for each product line. This individual will work closely with the plant operations teams to deploy standard processes and tools to optimize materials operations, manage supplier leadership discussions, and escalate items to buyers and Commodity Managers as necessary. This will include onsite support for driving continuous improvement and problem solving.

• Coordinate incoming raw materials from external vendors.
• Check shortage report and assures material availability.
• Controls Inventory Value and is constantly checking over maximum inventory to look for reduction opportunities.
• Create purchase orders and monitor material delivery.
• Troubleshoot MRP exceptions.
• Maintain consignment levels and requests.
• Maintain sales reports and analyze risks.
• Expedite materials outside of the regular Ordering Process.
• Prioritize delivery according to Planning Information regarding G.O.'s.
• Monthly min/max analysis to avoid material shortage or excess.
• Lead material deviations regarding material availability, (Quality, Logistics, Discrepancies)
• Requests on time cycle counts in case item goes below 50% min and assure the production plan is covered.
• Control items to be with in min-max range.
• Lead supplier discussions to avoid disruptions into the plant.
• Maintain excess/obsolete material controlled.
• Review material requirements planning, capacity requirements, planning and logistics.
• Perform other tasks as required.

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED from an accredited institution.

• 2 years of experience in Supply Chain (purchasing preferred).
• Prior experience working directly with vendors.
• Inventory Management/ Material Ordering Tools (Kanban/ Min and Max, etc.).
• Candidates must be legally authorized to work within the United States without company sponsorship now and in the future.

• No relocation benefit is offered for this position. Only candidates residing within the immediate area of the Eaton El Paso, TX facility (50-mile radius) will be considered for this position. Active-Duty Military candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.

Preferred Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or supply chain related field.
• Experience implementing continuous improvement initiatives.
• Bi-lingual in English/Spanish.

3. Sense of urgency and ownership on situations outside of their control.
