Eaton's ES AMER ARS division is currently seeking a Material Handler II (2nd Shift) assembly. The hourly rate for this position is start rate 19.73/hour + 5% shift differential per hour. Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

What you'll do:

The Material Handler II is responsible for the handling and movement of material within the plant. Additionally, this role provides support to other material handlers, maintains documentation related to material handling, and maintains communication with Supply Chain to ensure all issues are resolved.

  • Deliver materials safely and efficiently to various locations using a daily checklist
  • Unload trucks and check freight bills (shipping & receiving)
  • Return materials back to stock and maintain all related documentation
  • Provide back-up support to other material handlers
  • Train employees new to the Material Handler II role
  • Locate material as needed by other material handlers, customers, or supervisors
  • Record transactions using established procedures and use the Kanban system to check availability of parts
  • Notify material department of any material-related issues

Position Criteria:

  • Perform job duties in a manner that follows Eaton Quality standards and system
  • Notify material department of any material-related issues
  • Comply with all safety policies and procedures, including wearing proper Personal Protective Equipment
  • Work alongside other teams across the organization
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

  • Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent from an accredited institution
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future
  • No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of Cleveland, TN will be considered. Active Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation
  • Computer Skills
  • Minimum of 6-month previous standup reach forklift operating experience
  • Must have a valid driver's license
  • Must not be on a written or a final written warning (Internal only)
  • Employees can apply and be awarded a new role but must have a minimum of 6 months service time in their current role before moving to the new role (Internal Only)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment
  • Computer Skills; AS400; Mapex
  • Ability to drive a box truck and back into a loading dock
