Eaton's IS AER FED division is currently seeking a Manufacturing Engineer. This position will be located at our Rumford, RI facility.
The Manufacturing Engineer will play a key role in day-to-day manufacturing operations as part of a cross-functional High-Performance Work Team (HPWT). In this role, you will collect and analyze manufacturing data for process improvements that relate to safety, product quality, customer delivery and cost reductions. You will provide on-floor process support to train team members and ensure compliance with engineering standards. Provide production associates the tools required to perform their jobs efficiently and to meet all requirements. Support special process and customer audits to ensure adherence to industry standards and customer expectations.

The expected annual salary range for this role is $62250.03 - $95700.0 a year. This position is also eligible for a variable incentive program.

What you'll do:
• Design, develop, and improve safe and environmentally responsible manufacturing processes, ensuring that components and assemblies meet all internal and external quality standards (Eaton Quality System, AS9100, and NADCAP).
• Apply MESH (Eaton Environmental, Safety and Health process) and other industry best practices.
• Serve as an active member of a High-Performance Work Team (HPWT), driving manufacturing excellence to achieve on-time customer order delivery. Responsibilities include troubleshooting machine and tooling issues, supporting the DMR process for non-conforming materials, implementing continuous flow concepts, and training production employees in process execution.
• Design and procure equipment, tooling, and gauging using solid modeling software and other engineering tools. Collaborate with suppliers and purchasing teams to acquire manual assembly, semi-automatic equipment, and pressure testing solutions.
• Create and maintain routers, equipment preventive maintenance plans, technique sheets, programs, and PFMEAs to uphold safety, quality, and cost targets.
• Work directly with manufacturing operators to troubleshoot and improve processes, including fabrication, assembly, measuring and testing of production components.
• Collect and analyze manufacturing data to drive process improvement initiatives. Lead the development of project management requirements and documentation, providing support to ProLaunch teams to ensure flawless project execution.
Qualifications:
Required (Basic) Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an accredited institution, with a graduation date no later than August 2025.
• Minimum of three (3) months of professional experience through internships, co-ops, or work in engineering or manufacturing roles.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship, now or in the future.
• This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee.
• No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of Rumford, RI will be considered. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience with CNC programming, 3D drafting (CAD/CAM) and GD&T.
• Experience in the design, improvement, and implementation of equipment, tooling, and fixtures to enhance operational efficiency.
Skills:
• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical process, product, and equipment challenges in a manufacturing environment.
• Capable of reading and interpreting blueprints that utilize Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
• Skilled in effectively communicating with individuals across all organizational levels, from production teams to leadership.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritizes simultaneously.
