Manufacturing Assembly Team Leader- 1st shift

Eaton's ES AMER ARS PDCAD division is currently seeking a Manufacturing Assembly Team Leader- 1st shift. The hourly rate for this position is $27 per hour. Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

HOURS: 6AM - 2:30PM

Candidates must reside within 50 miles from our Houston, TX location OR Fayetteville, NC location (14825 Northwest Freeway, Houston TX OR 2900 Doc Bennett Rd. Fayetteville, NC). THOSE RESIDING IN FAYETTEVILLE MUST RELOCATE TO HOUSTON UPON COMPLETION OF TRAINING.

Candidates hired will be required to train for 6-8 weeks in the Fayetteville, NC location.

  • Houston-based individuals that travel to Fayetteville, NC to train will have expenses covered according to Eaton's Worldwide Travel and Expense Policy.
  • Fayetteville based individuals that live within 50 miles of our Fayetteville, NC location will receive a one-time lump sum relocation bonus of $5000 will be paid to hired candidates relocating to the Houston area upon completion of training.

A retention bonus will be paid to individuals hired according to the following schedule: $250 bonus after 3 months of employment; $500 bonus after 6 months of employment $1000 bonus after 1 year of employment.

Position will also be eligible for a variable incentive program beginning January, 2026.

What you'll do:

In addition to routine, daily manufacturing duties, the Team Leader coordinates operations, improves team productivity, cooperates with Testers, communicates effectively, works on the frontline as necessary, assists supervisors, liaisons between various functions and departments, provides input for team performance reviews, and develops as a leader.

  • Guide, oversee, and coordinate work operations to respond positively to unusual situations, changes, materials, and varying labor requirements.
  • Improve team productivity. Measure and monitor past and present performance and track progress toward goals, objectives, and plans.
  • Work closely with Testers and other Quality personnel to ensure the continuous application of quality control standards to products and work processes. Respect Testers as the Quality Authority. Partner with Testers.
  • Serve as a frontline, working coordinator. Work with manufacturing employees in production and material handling functions when necessary.
  • Assist in training, instruction, and guidance to employees.
  • Assist in maintaining and communicating daily production standards and schedules and necessary metrics.
  • Assist in preparing and presenting toolbox, department, or High Performance Work Team meetings.
  • Serve as a liaison between the different functions internal (assembly, staging, testing, handling, material, etc.) and external (engineering, sales, scheduling, supply chain, shipping, steel, etc.) to the department.

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

  • Must have a high school diploma /GED from an accredited institution
  • Must have three (3) years of manufacturing assembly experience.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship

Position Criteria:

  • Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Exhibit strong verbal and written communication skills, persuasive ability, and analytical problem-solving aptitude with individuals and groups to facilitate process improvements within teams.
  • Work closely with supervisors to assure unified efforts.
  • Develop as a leader in the organization. Think & act strategically, get results, build organizational capability, and demonstrate a leadership style.
  • Ability to motivate and train employees, and promote and maintain morale, cooperation, and productivity among team members.
  • Must be strong in several competencies including, but not limited to: drive for results, action-oriented, approachable, timely decision making, integrity and trust, self-motivated, strong written communication, and ability to learn from experience.
  • Provide input for team member performance reviews as well as routine performance.
  • Quality Systems / Corporate Programs: Ensure compliance where applicable with systems and /or programs such as, but not limited to ISO 9000-2000, ISO 14001, Underwriters Laboratory, NEMA, etc
