Eaton's ES AMER PCS division is currently seeking a Manager - Quality.
What you'll do:
Lead quality assurance efforts and compliance of required standards for Arecibo facility including ISO, UL, product warranty, OpA and all other quality initiatives. Maintain continuous focus on process improvement.
Attain quality and productivity goals, through continuous improvement. Develop plans and lead the implementation to drive results. Deploy the applicable elements and initiatives of EBS to accomplish the business goals.
Plan, develop and manage the Operations, Customer and Supplier Quality management systems to maintain required levels for incoming, in process and finished goods.
Identify and manage the improvement projects execution for the operations, to drive continuous improvement and support processes.

1. Responsible for leading the deployment of the Eaton Quality Management Systems quality policies and procedures to ensure consistent compliance with the ISO9001 and other international standards.
2. Responsible to develop a quality strategy that fosters a customer first culture by driving a zero-defect mindset and support on time delivery.
3. Manages resources to enable quality personnel to fulfill their responsibility efficiently and effectively. Develop OAD (Organizational Assessment & Design) when applicable.
4. Accountable for leading and ensuring preparation of all relevant information to be discussed during the management reviews, QFR (Quality Functional Reviews) and the Q-LOR (Quality Letter of Representation) with the division.
5. Leads site initiatives to achieve quality goals: CONC, Customer DPPM, Supplier PPM, Yield, HSCQE, MRB, CAPA, Audit performance, PPAP, etc.
6. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify process improvement opportunities and implement solutions.
7. Coordinates tools and equipment certification and calibration process to assure compliance with the requested parameters.
8. Responsible for creating tailored development plans for all quality personnel in alignment with EQMS/ECIS criteria requirements to ensure an effective succession planning.
9. Provides a framework for continuous improvement by supporting EHS, ECIS, PROLaunch and other Eaton Business System initiatives.
10. Ensure timely/effective communication is provided to customer and assess effectiveness of actions taken to address reported quality issues.
11. Responsible to establish, develop and execute cost saving projects mainly focus in DPPM/CONC reduction and quality improvements projects at the plant's key value streams.
12. Act as a key contributor in the development and deployment of functional strategy in alignment with the annual profit plan and EBS Pull activities.
13. Responsible for collecting, analyzing quality data to identify trends, root causes of defects, and areas for improvement.
14. Ensures Production Part Approval Processes, First Article inspection and customer specific requirements are performed and/or achieved as required.
15. Ensure that process changes needed for the Quality Management System are controlled, implemented, and maintained as applicable.
Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree from accredited institution
- Minimum experience of 7 years in similar positions
- PC knowledge: Microsoft Office, Access, and AS400, Minitab, Vista,
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in industrial, electrical, or electromechanical engineering, business administration or other science.
- Knowledge: Lean Tools, 6 Sigma and Technical Statistics
- ISO 9001 Lead Auditor
- APQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning) tools knowledge
- CAPA knowledge: 8D, 5 why, Ishikawa, Paretos
- Prefer: Lean Expert, GreenBelt certified
- CQA, CQE or CQM Certification
A. Thorough understanding of problem-solving methods-i.e. SixSigma, 8D, root cause analysis, and the associated statistical tools to analyze problems, evaluate and complete improvement projects.
B. Working knowledge of ISO9001, Quality Management System and Six Sigma.
C. Detailed knowledge of industry and customer specific quality registration schemes and certification processes ( i.e. ISO9001).
D. Detailed knowledge of process auditing techniques to ensure compliance to defined quality requirements.
E. Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Process Variation Reduction (Six Sigma) concepts and tool sets as they relate to process/product variability, and root cause and corrective action determination.
G. Thorough knowledge of gauging and inspection techniques.

MANAGERIAL/ SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Quality Engineer (Supervisors)- supervise and assists in the direction of the plant quality organization and functions. Helps maintain ISO certifications. Assists in the reduction of scrap cost. Implements systems that will increase manufacturing quality levels and that will provide internal/external customer satisfaction. Promote and provide education.
Quality Engineer - Develop and implement systems that will improve plant quality levels using tools such as SPC. Analyzes statistical data and product specifications to determine present standards, proposes and follows up improvement actions.
Quality Technician - Performs periodic audits, trials, and lab tests to assure full compliance of all product specifications and procedures throughout the manufacturing process and other related operations. Documents findings and reports them to the Quality Assurance Management for corrective action and follows-up implementation.
Quality Inspector - Performs visual and physical inspection and sampling to conform with established quality standard throughout the manufacturing process.
