Eaton's ES AMER PCS division is currently seeking a Maintenance Supervisor.
What you'll do:
Primary Functions: Organizing and Supervising Maintenance Operations: They oversee the maintenance team, ensuring compliance with Safety Standards (MESH) are follow and that safety regulations are upheld, industrial machines and equipment are well-maintained and functioning safer and efficiently. Scheduling Inspections and Repairs: They plan and schedule regular preventive maintenance and proactive maintenance necessary to minimize machine downtime. Participate actively in tiers meetings to promote continuous improvement. Provides support in the installation of new equipment and layouts. Maximizing Productivity and Quality - aim to maximize productivity and maintain high-quality standards in maintenance operations. Training and Supporting Staff - provide support and advice during staff recruitment and ensure proper onboarding and training processes. Also, it is his/her responsibility to maintain a safe work environment free of any harassment, discrimination, and high on ethical/quality standards and following and modeling the Leadership Attributes as established by Eaton policies & procedures.

Essential Functions: Responsible for the development and implementation of activities in production area(s) to meet High Five areas objectives:
Safety
• Attend and perform all EHS training assigned.
• Promote MESH processes, standards, and policies to all employees under his/her supervision.
• Provide all resources needed to ensure that all MESH policies and procedures all performed by all personnel under his/her supervision.
• Actively participates in Work Risk Assessments/ MIL's Analysis and timely resolution of safety corrective actions.
• Foresees that all equipment and machinery comply with local and federal regulatory offices.
Quality
• Complies with all the requirements in the operational procedures at the area of responsibility to meet the requirements of all applicable Quality System regulations.
• Use Problem Solving tools to resolve (Six Sigma,8D and 5 Why's) quality issues and establish systems to improve downtime, recurrent problems, yield, reduce scrap and minimize rework.
• Develop employee Problem Solving Skills and establish metrics to monitor employee and area performance (area efficiency, utilization, and equipment downtime) in terms of quality.
Delivery
• Interfaces with internal business partners to understand their needs related to technology, product reviews, performance objectives, device features/functions, cost, delivery schedules and quantities.
• Delivers process and manufacturing excellence.
• Studies production schedules and estimates worker hour requirements for completion of job assignment.
Other Essential Functions:
Inventory
• Work in close collaboration and partner with SCM, CI, OPEX, Technical Service, Quality, HR, and Finance Teams to optimize overall operational efficiency and effectiveness.
Productivity
• Responsible for the execution of Continuous Improvement tools.
• Leads Tier 2 meetings and takes care of the updating actions and tracking process of Visual Boards.
• Plans and support administer procedures and budgets. Makes budgetary recommendations on monthly expenses, capital expenditures and direct/indirect labor.
• Performs operation analysis to maximize flow in the areas and to assure the best use of resources to achieve total product cycle time goals and the highest level of productivity.
• Responsible to monitor and control Overtime expenses and Absenteeism issues following available tools.
• Responsible for the implementation of CIF initiatives through the facility group. Support RIE's events and promote Kaizen events.
• Supervise the installation, improvement, upkeep, construction and repairs of all buildings, machinery, tools, facilities, and premises.
• Identify and schedules refurbishing and renewal of equipment.
• Manage the documentation of equipment repairs and inspection.
• Issue and review work schedule of the department.
• Manage the preventive maintenance program.
• Recommends and executes the modifications to equipment following MOC process.
• Assists in the development and implementation of ideas related the cost reduction program.
• Manage or assist to manage major construction projects or facilities expansions.
Other: Builds Organizational Capability
• Responsible to implement strategic (manager level and above) and tactical operational activities (supervisor level).
• Selects and develops personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the area function.
• Develops schedules and manpower requirements for assigned areas.
• Ensures proactive engagement and representation of maintenance and facilities areas within other Teams to support business continuity and continuous improvement.
• Support change management, process and design innovation, supply chain leverage, cost effectiveness and process robustness during development and manufacturing.
• Responsible for setting employee objectives linked to the Plants Key Operating Objectives and other key operational metrics.
• Responsible for on-time performance feedback, coaching and counseling to employees under his/her responsibility tied to established objectives, employee handbook, processes, policies, and procedures.
• Pursues organizational development strategies for enhanced goal alignment, professional skills, and organization flexibility.
• Develops and supports Business Team objectives utilizing Six-Sigma/Lean Techniques in support of continuous process improvement activities.
• Responsible of maintaining a functional cross training matrix between the employees.
• Assure of employee's timecard data entry and payment integrity through Time Attendance System.
• Performs other related duties as required.
Qualifications:
Specialized Knowledge:
• Required Business in Engineering, Sciences, Business Administration, Physcology or related disciplines.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in maintenance in a manufacturing environment.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience as supervisor, coordinator or project leader.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish)
Proven Experience:
• High background in maintenance of equipment and machinery.
• Good understanding in power distributions components and system.
(arc flash).
• Knowledge electronics, motors and other topics related to maintenance of equipment.
• Computer literate; Windows, Excel, Word, Microsoft Project, and other software EMS.
• Good understanding in the repair and function of air handling units, electric generators, chillers, extraction system or any other equipment related to the facility.
• OSHA regulations, EPA regulations and other local or federal agencies.
