Eaton's ES GEIS BLD division is currently seeking a Maintenance Lead (2nd Shift). The core hours are 2:30pm to 11:00pm. The hourly rate for this position is $38.94 per hour. Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

What you'll do:

Eaton's B-Line Division is currently seeking a Maintenance Team Lead to join our team. This position is based at our Sherman, TX facility.

The Maintenance Team Lead is a working lead, who directs the assignments of the team to ensure goals are met. Wage for this role is Associate 4 plus a lead pay bump. Core hours for this position are on 2nd shift.

  • Drive improvements in Safety, People, Quality, Delivery, Cost and Inventory (SQDCI).
  • Allocate associates to work based on need.
  • Work closely with Group Leaders and production support staff to resolve issues and follow-up on preventative and corrective actions.
  • Assist employees within the team with technical issues, and conduct trainings sessions covering specific areas such as on the job training, refresher training, etc. Facilitate continuous improvement activities.
  • Assure that the appropriate equipment and tools are provided, adequately maintained, and safely operated. Prioritize schedules for routine, reactive, and preventative maintenance needed.
  • Install equipment/machinery, as well as perform preventive and predictive maintenance on plant equipment, as well as troubleshooting and repairs.
  • Operate a variety of lifts etc.

Qualifications:

Basic (Required) Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 7 years of industrial maintenance experience.
  • ABB robotic weld cell trouble shooting and programming experience
  • High school diploma or GED from an accredited institution
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.
  • No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates that currently reside within the immediate geographical area of Sherman, TX will be considered.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced skills in one or more of the following: Hydraulic & Pneumatic Systems, Electrical, Mechanical, Refrigeration, PLC troubleshooting and repair.
  • Experience in lean manufacturing.
  • Associate degree from an accredited institution
  • Experience in metals fabrication.
  • Working knowledge of equipment operations, tooling (lasers, powder coat, turret presses, dies, presses etc.) and product.
  • Computer literate with Windows and MSOffice as well as industrial software
  • Experience utilizing hydraulic schematics, pneumatic schematics, and electrical schematics.
  • Experience with wastewater treatment.
  • Experience modifying or programming PLC's and HMI's

Skills:

Position Success Criteria:

  • Perform critical jobs or tasks within the department to cover manning shortages as needed.
  • Strong technical background.
  • Able to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and parts breakdown.
  • Basic skills in reading, arithmetic and writing in English.
  • Dexterity required for operating equipment, machinery, and computers.
  • Able to work in various locations including heights.
  • Understanding of basic mechanical fundamentals and shop machine tools
  • Familiarity with DC and AC power up to three phase 480-volt AC
  • Capable of welding, pipe fitting, rigging
  • Committed to continuous learning and improvement.
  • Ability to speak effectively in interpersonal situations and before groups of employees.
  • Maintain and follow all safety requirements.
  • Support in maintaining training records.
  • Support gathering and reporting maintenance metrics data.
  • Ability to work mandatory overtime, including Saturdays and up to 12 hours in a shift, as needed by the business.
  • Ability to stand for the duration of the shift (eight to twelve hours) and perform repetitious tasks.
