Eaton's IS VEH VGNA division is currently seeking a Lead Production Scheduler. This position is based at our South Bend, IN manufacturing facility.

The Lead Production Scheduler is responsible coordinating with various departments to meet customer demands and optimize material flow, ensuring timely delivery and efficient resource allocation.
The South Bend plant is a part of Eaton's Industrial Sector and produces forgings in support of Eaton's Mobility business. The facility is an integral part of the division's growth and operational platforms worldwide.

The expected annual salary range for this role is $65250.0 - $95700.0 a year. This position is also eligible for a variable incentive program.

What you'll do:

  • Create daily production schedule to maintain on time delivery to customers and safety stock to keep healthy inventory levels for Finished Goods and Raw materials.
  • Generate daily Past Due Customer Orders report to secure production to cover any gaps in Service.
  • Generate orders requirements for all the Suppliers according to lead times and MOQ's.
  • Support with DOH metrics for Raw Materials.
  • Monitor PFEP to maintain all SKU's up to date with information accuracy.
  • Champion material control of inventory process utilizing lean tools to minimize excess and stock outs.
  • Lead production meetings to communicate production requirements.
  • Monitor on-time delivery and adjust Min/Max inventory as needed based upon customer demand.
  • Complete order entries for internal and external customers.
  • Communicate with customers on order and delivery requirements.
  • Communicate with suppliers on order and delivery requirements.
  • Serves as main customer contact in customer request for quotes.
  • Supports South Bend on the divisional materials steering committee to provide input into the strategic manufacturing footprint.

Qualifications:

Required Basic Qualifications:

  • Minimum Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution
  • Minimum one (1) year work experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship both now and in the future
  • No relocation is available for this position. Candidates must reside within a 50 mile radius of South Bend, IN to be considered. Active Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Accounting and/or Engineering
  • Three years or higher in a manufacturing environment
  • Production planning experience
  • Experience applying lean manufacturing tools
  • Experience with Oracle (or similar ERP production software)

Skills

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel Skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite
