Eaton's IS AER FMC division is currently seeking a Lead Planner - Master Production Planner. This position is based in Jackson, MS.

The Jackson facility has approximately 500 employees and is a leader in the design, development, manufacture and delivery of Aerospace hydraulic components, systems and services to the global aftermarket and OEM markets.

The expected annual salary range for this role is $91500.03 - $134200.04 a year.

What you'll do:

Primary role of the Master Production Scheduler is to create/maintain a credible schedule that supports our customer requirements and site targets and is aligned to the constraints. This role is key to communicating to the business capacity needs and identifying risks to supporting the business targets of Customer On Time Delivery, Sales, Past Due, and Inventory.

Job responsibilities:

  • Leads and directs the material planning team to balance the demand as driven by Material Requirements Planning (MRP), shop floor capacity and customer sales orders
  • Performs capacity analysis to ensure proper headcount, machines, and material are available and are utilized appropriately
  • Performs forecast analysis and updates and safety stock calculation
  • Analyzes and interprets pertinent inventory information and data to determine current production status. Work closely with production team to monitor work order progress.
  • Anticipates future requirements and provides adjustments in scheduling as needed
  • Drives shortage meetings with a cross functional team and expedites material where required to meet shortfall between current plan and customer order requirements
  • Analyzes data and system information to prepare reports as needed to facilitate and recommend actions to ensure optimal supply chain execution.
  • Maintains planning parameters in the MRP system to ensure proper order generation

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution
  • 3+ years of experience in production planning/materials management in an industrial/manufacturing environment.
  • This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee.
  • Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future.
  • No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates within a 60-mile radius of Jackson, MS will be considered. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.

Preferred:

  • Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) and active membership in American Production and Inventory Control Society (APICS)
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Engineering or Operations from an accredited institution
  • 5+ years of experience in production planning/materials management in an industrial/manufacturing environment.
  • Thorough knowledge of materials planning systems (MRP / ERP) requirements and order generation process logic
  • Ability to lead, train and develop planning team personnel
  • Expert knowledge of materials planning systems (MRP/ERP) requirements
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement processes
  • Knowledge of production work flow and work order generation logic
  • Good PC skills, especially in MS Excel
  • Great written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work with all functions of the organizations
  • Ability to multi-task
