Eaton's ES AMER MFGSC division is currently seeking a Lead Material Handler Trainer.

The hourly rate for this position is $24/hr per hour.

What you'll do:

Brief Description: Organize training schedule. Assign trainers to employees. Maintain training documentation. Ensure all standard work is up to date. Perform on the job training for trainers at the Dallas Distribution Center using standardized work to ensure tasks are being completed consistently across all shifts using the proper processes and procedures. Train employees as needed.

Essential Functions:
• Organizing training schedule
• Communicate with HR to determine weekly training needs
• Assign trainers to employees
• Must be able to motivate and lead others
• Identify and troubleshoot training issues and communicate to supervision for resolution
• Perform the work of a trainer as needed.
• Train new hire and agency employees to properly complete tasks using standard work
• Retrain employees as needed
• Identify inability to learn tasks and present materials in multiple ways to help employees understand.
• Audit training records to ensure compliance
• Training to include:

o Following company safety policies and procedures
o Operating powered industrial trucks
o Identifying warehouse locations
o Picking process, in both bins and rack (carts and cages)
o Packing process, for both LTL and parcel lanes (box making, packing materials)
o Staging orders for shipment
o Sorting
o Use of RF scan guns to verify locations and to enter data.
o Use of VM1 computers
o Accurate product counts
o Verifying product
o Generating shipping labels
• Requires operating a reach truck and order picker
• Ensure safety guidelines are followed in operating equipment
• Follow written and oral instructions. Adhere to all company policies and procedures including practice of good housekeeping
• Maintain quality workmanship, observe safety procedures, and report unsafe acts
• Support operations when not performing the duties of the trainer
• Must be able to lift 49 pounds without assistance
• Continuous standing, bending, reaching, lifting, pushing and pulling
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:
• High School Diploma or GED from accredited institution
• Power Industrial Truck Operator (certified)
• Relocation is not provided. Only candidates residing within a 50-mile radius of (Lancaster) Dallas, TX will be considered.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship
• Must be able to work a flexible work schedule as needed and to work overtime based on customer demand

Preferred Qualifications:
• Previous training experience
• Two years of experience in a warehouse/distribution center environment
