What you'll do:

EIIC Engineering functional excellence organization is aligned to CTO's strategy to drive "One Eaton Engineering Functional Excellence".

Lead engineer for Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) within Engineering functional excellence team at EIIC, will be responsible for establishing and deploying practices, processes & tools (softwares) for engineering & other related functions that includes all product lifecycle swim lanes viz; new part creation, release, configuration management, standard Eaton-wide product lifecycle management practices for system, subsystem, component and software that are being released as engineering deliverables. Person in this role will be responsible to drive 100% PLM coverage of all possible engineering deliverables and its linkage with Enovia as single source of truth.

This role will also focus on identifying and driving standardization opportunities amongst existing variants of Enovia PLM tool. He/She will lead establishing and deploying long term roadmaps on enhancing Enovia coverage and standardization to ready the organization on futuristic PLM upgradations. The improvement in product lifecycle management related processes, automation and deployment across the enterprise using competence in Enovia as a tool and expertise in backend architecture will be the core need. He/She will training and maintenance of PLM tool and related requirement management, collaboration and deployment with IT teams.
Leader in this role will actively work along with leaders for PLM, IT teams and business teams across the organizations to liase software enhancements.

Job Responsibilities

Collaborate & lead the projects for PLM (Product Life cycle Management) tool enhancements, deployment and new tool introduction across the organization
Lead developing / deploying all apt tools to establish end to end digitalized PLM, covering entire product life cycle development and engineering deliverables during the same.
PLM software functionality improvement, automation and deployment across the enterprise thru active collaboration between engineering and IT teams.
Drive standard PLM tool operating procedures and protocols across the organization.
Identify and deploy best of the PLM software's and tools and related customizations across organization.
Execute proof of concepts for PLM enhancements and coordinate larger possibilities thru IT as a requirement manager
CAD systems understanding and demonstration with Enovia 3DS integration
Executing the BOM auto generation process
Resolving the CAD-PLM related integration issues
Resolving the PLM-ERP(SAP, Oracle and MfgPro) related integration issues
Experience in CAD automation, CAA EKL and design automations
Experience in MQL / TCL writing and execution
Build organizational competence on PLM software thru active connect with vendors, IT teams and businesses
Execute strategy for 100% PLM coverage for the engineering deliverables across the organization.
Meet the schedule, scope, cost and technical targets for all projects under his/her control
Provide visible leadership to guide, coach and develop the next level organizational PLM experts
Develop and maintain relationships with global stakeholders, technical community etc.
Reducing the waste using lean and continuous improvement philosophy to leverage the PLM tool's best of the offerings for productivity improvement or operational assessment.
Drive digitalization and automation mind-set in product and application development and related PLM tools and processes.
Developed team members to become assets of organization through Coaching, Mentoring and building capabilities over the time

Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering. Strong understanding of organizational processes with 10 - 12 years in core PLM (preferably Enovia) development, maintenance and support role and 12-15 years of overall experience.

Skills:

- Strong understanding of PLM architecture, functionalities, business process mapping and possible applications in end to end product lifecycle management
- Hands on experience of working with PLM development, maintenance, troubleshooting, customizations, requirements handling and deployment etc.
- Should understand various PLM tools and software's and be able to evaluate the same against the organization needs
- Should have experience in leading software development project thru systematic project management processes
- Should understand product development life cycle and at least 2-3 years of hands on experience with new product design, drawings and 3D releases using PLM.

Leadership skills - the capability to lead change, excellent communication and presentation skills - both verbal and written with the ability to make necessary status reports and technical presentations to Eaton management, Good analytical skills and business acumen, High proficiency in preparing and managing schedules.
