What you'll do:
Lead design and development of next generation smart airframe fuel pumps. The primary focus would be to lead pump IRAD projects through increasing xRL maturity levels upto and including xRL 6 while holding accountability for technical, schedule and cost performance compliance to project / program plan

Lead complete New product development (NPD), New Technology Introductions (NTI) projects life cycle through Eaton PROLaunch / PreLaunch/ACES Engineering processes
Play a key role in developing business proposals for new technology introduction or existing product improvements

Lead Bids and Proposals for fuel pumps and other fuel products by providing engineering inputs to customer inquiries, creating detailed technical proposals and estimating Engineering NRE
Lead the creation of the integrated project plans & schedules, project budget in partnership with the global teams and ensure execution as per plan
Lead xRL reviews including TRL, MRL and CRLs, ACES phase reviews like PDR, CDR and customer design reviews
Create product concepts and demonstrate feasibility of designs through relevant Engineering calculations/predictions / analysis / simulations
Develop and update product documentation including requirements specifications, Dfx artefacts, drawings, test procedures and reports, BOM's and design guides.
Develop and drive technology roadmaps and strategy for fuel pumps
Work with customers, external tech partners and academia for tech development
Understand competitive landscape and tech trends for fuel pumps and develop ideas for product improvements and IP generation
Mentor / Guide team members to develop their technical capabilities and achieve project goals
Develop standard tools, templates and processses for productivity improvement
Lead & guide DfX tools & methods deployment on projects"
Qualifications:
B.E / B.Tech / M.E / M.Tech in Mechanical Engineering
Overall 15 years of work experience with 10 years experience on design and development of Aerospace fuel products
Skills:
"Proven track record in engineering with engineering proficiency in design / development of mechanical and electro-mechanical components
demonstrated skills in concept development, analytical thinking and problem solving
Expertise in Aerospace standards applicable for product development and testing - DO-160, DO-178, AC 25.981, MIL-STD-810, etc
DFSS GB certified
Track record in qualification of fuel components, failure resolution, RCA and other tools of failure investigation and resolution
In depth understanding of manufacturing processes - AM, machining, casting, etc.
Proficiency with CAD modeling software - CREO / CATIA"

Ability to lead and manage high performing multi-functional IPTs in aerospace domain
