What you'll do:

  • The primary function of Japan Commercial Manager is to be responsible for the overall performance in GEIS, including regional budget, achievement of sales objectives for the region, and the development & implementation of sales plans in line with the business strategy, employee engagement, and all related financial performance. The Japan commercial manager is accountable for growth and provide leadership to Japan team.
  • Develop, own and execute Japan country strategy and profit plan process for GEIS business.
  • Responsible for overall Japan financial performance.
  • Own the regional strategic growth initiatives at the country level and ensure plans are in place and reviewed regularly to meet the growth objectives.
  • Documents, tracks and reports on progress to management at the weekly performance review, regular growth review and ROP review.
  • Develop close co-operation with regional functional teams as well as other regions.
  • Take responsibility for local Distribution and Agency channels as appropriate, own and manage specific key accounts in the region.
  • Hold the accountability to drive the Japan engagement and build the channel to create the opportunity for synergy across GEIS business.
  • Take ownership in the Japan talent pipeline building and young key potential development to avoid the loss of knowledge and resources facing the brain out of the manpower.
  • Lead and Develop team, succession plan, bench strength for future growth. Provide leadership to the sales in meeting / exceeding financial and aspirational goals.

  • Other tasks assigned by leaders in and cross the organization.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in the specific fields required. Master's degree be a preferred qualification.
  • Solid industry experience with trackable record indicating solid performance.
  • Adept at big project management.
  • Experienced in new segment business development, new market penetration under uncertain and ambiguous market dynamics.
  • Rich expertise on channel management, strategical layout for competitive business model.
  • Experiences in major change management with strong self-driven agility and agile mindset in front of changes.
  • Great communicator with listening ability and proficient with digital communication channels
  • Ability to think and act strategically.
  • Good interpersonal skills.
  • Fluent in English.
