Profile:
The Product Line Owner will set and champion the product vision, work with key senior leaders to influence strategic business objectives, develop and maintain the product roadmap, and define key operational processes like the product release schedule. The individual in this role will work closely with business partners and customers to define epics that align with key business objectives for the Scrum or Kanban team. The Product Line Owner will communicate strategy and status at the C level.
As a leader within Eaton's Information Technology function, this position will have direct management responsibility, developing and directing multiple Product Teams, including analysts, engineers, or Product Owners to deliver business outcomes. The Product Line owner tracks and manages product funding and defines work priorities for individuals dedicated to the product team. They will balance new features against continuous improvement, system health, and support.

Responsibilities:
- Define and champion the product vision, roadmap, and epics, working with senior leaders to craft strategic business objectives and enterprise-spanning plans to meet customer and business needs
- Plan, manage, and track product funding and the team's time. Is fully responsible for product budget and profit plan
- Manage a team of IT professionals and/or managers, providing appropriate coaching to develop employee skills and continuously improve performance
- Develops and maintains product-specific persona and customer journeys
- Communicate goals for product increments and releases. Define goals for team sprints.
- Support the onboarding of internal and external resources
- Accountable for product support, stability, and governance: including data, policy, cybersecurity, and usage
- Act as a functional expert in areas related to the product, including across Eaton's portfolio and with other business units
- Drive definition and continuous improvement of product processes (e.g., Lean, Agile, Scrum, DevSecOps, etc.)
- Understand commercial, business and go-to-market strategies where applicable
- Support a Secure Product Development Lifecycle approach that establishes a strong cybersecurity focus and culture across the entire engineering lifecycle
Qualifications and Experience:
- 10+ years' experience as an analyst BRM, project manager/engineer or program lead for complex technology projects or programs
- 7+ years of experience as a Product Owner or equivalent position.
- Experience directly managing and developing professional team members.
- Expertise with product management and modern product delivery processes
- Experience working with Agile, Scrum, and/or Kanban software delivery teams
- Understanding of DevSecOps principles, and modern software development principles including code management, test automation, APIs, microservices, and cloud services.
- Expertise in Product Engineering discipline, PLM, MCAD, ECAD and other relevant Engineering tools
- Ability to make bata-based decisions - Passion for great customer experiences
- Financial and budget management experience
- Proven ability to work across organizational boundaries, with diverse, global cultures
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution, Master's Degree preferred
