Eaton's CPDI PDI division is currently seeking a Inventory Clerk - 1st. The Richmond, VA site specifically focuses in on cirtical power distibution for multiple segments; those including Utitlites, Data Centers, Hospitality, and Commercial Instiutions. The Inventory Clerk- 1st offers a 40-hour paid week with hours being from 7:00am-3:30pm, full benefits, and 401K match plan.

The hourly rate for this position is $20.80 per hour.

What you'll do:

The Inventory Clerk is responsible for inventory process control and resolution as needed to accomplish Eaton's overall objectives of providing on-time delivery of quality products. Support and initiate actions with management to ensure that personnel comply to the company's policies and performance/productivity levels.

In this function you will:

  • Be responsible for systematic inventory process control
  • Ability to understand inputs and outputs of inventory systems
  • Ability perform cycle counting as needed
  • Ability to coordinate with team lead, inventory workers, and material handlers to solve various issues.
  • Ability to work cross functional across plants
  • Ability to operate forklift and electrical pallet jack as needed.
  • Cycle count materials, equipment, merchandise, or supplies in stock.
  • Report discrepancies between physical counts and Made 2 Manage system records.
  • Research lost material transactional history and resolve by correcting bin allocation.
  • Maintain and update records in MRP and/or Excel.
  • Develop or improve upon inventory management procedures.
  • Work with accounts payable and receiving team to resolve aging past due invoices.
  • Perform other miscellaneous duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Basic (Required):

  • High School diploma or GED from an accredited institution
  • Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without out company sponsorship, now or in the future
  • No relocation is being offered for this role. All candidates considered must live within 50 miles of the Richmond, VA location. Active Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation

Preferred:

  • 2+ years' experience in inventory control.
  • Ability to work extended hours.
  • Forklift experience

Skills:

• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Proven analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work in a matrix environment, get results and drive change through others
• Effective oral and written communication skills as well as planning and organizational skills
