What you'll do:

Eaton is seeking an Intern - Process Improvement to join our Critical Power and Digital Infrastructure (CPDI) team for a 12-month term. The process Improvement Intern will be based out of our Toronto facility.

Primary Function:
Reporting to the Operations Manager, the intern will assist project managers with schedule oversight and milestone tracking, which is essential for keeping projects on course

Essential functions:
• Improve current processes by being a key member of cross functional teams on existing or new projects.
• Communicate effectively with management and team members to drive awareness on the current and future state of tasks and milestones.
• Gather weekly project status updates from team members, ensuring that all stakeholders are informed of project progress.

• Learn and utilize project management software or Continuous Improvement (CI) ideologies for implementation and enhancement of project management mechanisms.
• Manage Order management tasks.
• Inventory management
• Collaborate with transportation teams to schedule deliveries and manage logistics
• Warehouse employee to support team during onboarding of development tech role employee to perm
• Creation and implementation of SOP for CPDI to be utilized during training and as reference material before implementation go-live
• Support teams in Oracle conversion preparation (fact finding, data scrub etc.)
• Conduct detailed notes for needs analysis WorldLinx to Oracle implementation
• Lead program reconciliation process
• Perform all job functions with adherence to Eaton's Philosophy and Values as well as the Safety and Environmental Standards.

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

• Enrolled and returning to a college or university program (Engineering, Business, or any Computer related course).
• Legally authorized to work in Canada without company sponsorship now or in the future.
• This position does not offer relocation.

Preferred Qualifications
• Prior internship or co-op experience.
• Intermediate/advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Power BI, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Prior internship or co-op experience.

• Strong customer service focus with a commitment to confidentiality, a high level of professionalism and time management skills.
• Demonstrated ability to work safely on multiple projects.
• Good analytical/problem-solving, mathematical skills and troubleshooting ability.
• Demonstrated leadership experience within campus and/or the community.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
