Eaton's ES AMER PCS division is currently seeking a Power Electronics Intern.
The hourly rate for this position is $27.00 - $35.00 per hour.

What you'll do:
This position will reside in the divisional headquarters building, which houses engineering for multiple product lines as well as marketing, sales, finance, and R&D. The facility was built in 2012 and boasts an open office layout surrounded by large windows, as well as 50,000+ square feet of onsite state-of-the-art laboratory space (including a well equipped power electronics dyne lab), fitness center, a basketball court, ping-pong, employee lounge, and grill&patio. The qualified candidate will be in an internship role within the divisions' solid state control team which is responsible for design and sustaining engineering activities related to both variable frequency drivers and reduced voltage soft starts. The candidate will assist with the design, simulation, implementation and verification of power electronics related to the division's next generation products. Power electronics designs include both inverters and converters (leveraging Si and possibly SiC technology) as well as switched mode power supplies, filters and interface control circuitry and drivers. The candidate will work with other team members driving new product development utilizing Eaton's processes while leveraging state of the art tools (dynes, power meters, oscilloscopes, EMC equipment, HiL systems). In addition to working with other power electronics engineers within the division, the candidate will also have the opportunity to work with experts from within Eaton's research labs (also co-located in Menomonee Falls) and Eaton's power electronics center of excellence (Raleigh, NC). The candidate must possess an innovative mindset combined with relevant power electronic design knowledge and the competency to drive/get results.
Qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:
- Actively enrolled in or received a PhD or master's degree program in Electrical Engineering.
- Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.8 or higher (please don't round).
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future.
- Relocation is not provided for this role, the candidate must be located within 50 miles of Menomonee Falls, WI .
