Eaton's ES AMER ARS division is currently seeking a Mechanical Engineering Intern.

The hourly rate for this position is $18.00 - $23.00 per hour.

Position Overview:

Non-Rotational Assignment

GEOGRAPHIC PREFERENCE

  • Single Location - Assignments are known at Offer
  • Stay at single location for in-depth knowledge, immersive learning experience

DEVELOPMENTAL EXPERIENCE

  • Development chats with division leaders
  • Working with Mentors 140 hours, 3 weeks product training and more!
  • Support from Manager and site Operations Team

DURATION

  • At your pace, typically 1 to 3 semester cycles. Duration is based on personal development interests and degree graduation date.

Qualifications:

Qualifications:

• Enrolled in or received a bachelor's degree in mechanical, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, or Engineering Technology with a graduation no later than August 2027.
• Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.8 or higher
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future.

Experiences and Skills Development:

EXPERIENCES

  • Perform CAD solid modeling, design simulation, productspecifications, drawing packages, Bill of Material (BOM) and
  • Engineering Change Order (ECO) creation, systems development, product testing and design validation
  • Design parts and assemblies which include component types including sheet metal, plastics, mechanisms, electrical and wiring, and/or packaging
  • Participate in new product development/introduction, innovation, idea creation and implementation, prototype assembly and testing, DFMA assessments, plus other design-to-industrialization activities
  • Maintain and enhance existing products, plus VA/VE activities
  • Participate in project management and engaging with multi-disciplined teams to achieve goals

SKILLS DEVELOPMENT

  • Phase gate project management
  • Global business environment with remote teams
  • Use of Enterprise Resource Planning systems
  • Voice of the Customer (VOC)
  • 3rd party certifications and witness testing from certifying/regulatory agencies
  • Compliance with Zero Incident Safety processes and culture
  • Personal accountability and communication skills
