Eaton Aerospace's Beltsville, MD facility is currently seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Intern to join our team.
Our Beltsville, MD manufacturing facility is home to 400+ passionate and creative team members. Our products power hundreds of military and commercial aircraft platforms with a focus on improved reliability, weight reduction and fuel efficiency. Position Overview
In this role, you will support operations and engineering to deploy and sustain process automation through Advanced Manufacturing 4.0 and digitalization efforts. You will lead or support projects in areas such as:
- Automation
- Digital manufacturing
- Additive manufacturing
- Augmented reality
- Simulation
- Robotics
Our internship assignments provide you with great exposure to the Beltsville, MD facility and would prepare you for a potential opportunity to join in an engineering, operations, quality, or supply chain role within Eaton upon graduation.
Qualifications:
Required (Basic) Qualifications
- Actively enrolled in or received a bachelor's degree program in engineering at an accredited institution.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future.
- Relocation is not provided for this role, the candidate must be located within 50 miles of Beltsville, MD.
- Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.8 or higher.
- This position requires the use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee.
Preferred Qualifications
- Actively enrolled in a bachelor's degree program in aerospace or mechanical engineering at an accredited institution.
- One or more relevant internships or co-op experiences
- Experience in additive manufacturing.
- 3D modeling experience (Solidworks, CATIA)
- CNC machining and programming experience
- Industrial or collaborative robot experience
- Knowledge of industrial controls and electrical systems
- Demonstrated leadership experience within campus and/or community.

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to effectively explain technical concepts to a variety of stakeholders.
- Ability to identify complex problems and review related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions.
- Ability to prioritize and make decisions considering the relative costs and benefits of potential actions to choose the most appropriate one.
