What you'll do:
The Embedded Software Engineering Intern is an integral part of multi-disciplined new product engineering team at Eaton's Thomas A. Edison Technical Center in Franksville, WI. Working alongside experienced engineers, you will perform engineering analyses, create designs, and develop unit tests - all contributing to the overall execution of New Product Development (NPD) projects and functional initiatives.

With five Eaton facilities and more than 1500 employees located in Wisconsin, Eaton's local footprint enables our employees with state-of-the-art laboratories and access to manufacturing that allows us to deliver robust solutions to our utility, commercial and industrial customers.
In this role you will:
• Work with hardware drivers and embedded applications, networking and related areas primarily using C, C++, and Python, as well as other programming languages.
• Collaborate with a global multi-discipline engineering teams (software, embedded software, hardware, power systems, systems, product and test) to deliver products and features for the Controls and Relays Group.
• Set aggressive goals, measures performance, and strive to go beyond what is expected.
• Effectively work and communicate within a global team environment.
Qualifications:
Required Qualifications:
• Actively enrolled in or received a bachelor's or master's degree program in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or Computer Science at an accredited institution with a graduation date no earlier than December 2025.
• Minimum GPA of 2.8 or above.
• Able to work in the United States on an ongoing basis without company sponsorship.
Preferred Qualifications
• Prior internship or co-op experience.
• Junior or higher standing.
• Minimum GPA of 3.2 or above.
• Experience developing using C / C++, Python or other programming languages.
• Familiarity with Agile Scrum concepts (or other iterative development methodology).
