Job responsibilities

A. Perform the assigned inspections according to the drawings and specifications of the equipment through the application of the testprotocols.
B. Complete Process Flow diagrams, pFMEAs, standard work (OPS) , and Control Plans.
D. Complete 8Ds and A3s, and perform data analysis on problem areas to solve problems reviewing inputs from various stakeholders
and makes recommendations accordingly
E. Gage R&R, and runoff criteria as needed for new or existing equipment and processes.
F. Manage APQP and PPAP documents/process.
G. Complete process audits, initiate corrective actions, lead cost save/variation reduction projects, and other tasks as required.
H. Train and coach fellow employees on quality principles, standards, internal & external requirements
I. Lead and / or support cost out project initiatives to closure such as VA/VEs /Kaizen/corrective actions/Non conform product NCP
J. Evaluates 8Ds completed by fellow QEs for effectiveness.
K. Investigates / troubleshoots problems and requirements of projects/warranties and develops plans for solutions.

Qualifications:

Education level required / Nivel educativo requerido

• Bachelor Degree from an accredited institution (preferrably Electrical Engineer or related career with a technician in Quality Control or Industrial Production Engineer with Electrical Technician)

Years and area of experience / Años y área de experiencia requerida

• Preferred experience of three years in similar positions, preferably in commercial and industrial electrical installations
• 2-year experience in Quality Control and Management System (ISO 9001)

Technical knowledge / Conocimientos técnicos

Use of tools that are included in Yellow/Greenbelt training, process mapping, capability analysis, control plans, cost of poor quality, defects per million, design of experiments, gauge accuracy, repeatability and reproducibility, histograms, multi-variance analysis, normal distribution, probability, six sigma, standard deviation, statistical control, customer interface, , internal auditing (ISO 9001), and variation reduction.

Verbal/oral/written communications (English/Spanish). Minimum Intermediate (conversational) English Skills.
* High use of technological tools (PI, statistical analysis Minitab, SPC, excel etc)
