What you'll do:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy for the BU to achieve revenue targets and drive business growth within identified segment or region.
  • Support the team to identify and prospect new business opportunities through various channels, including networking, cold calling, and industry events.
  • Stay informed of industry trends, competitive landscape, and market conditions to identify opportunities for growth.
  • Maintain own strong relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders at potential customer organizations and step in to support the team when required.
  • Support team to present compelling proposals and presentations tailored to the specific needs of prospective customers.
  • Lead contract negotiations, ensure mutually beneficial agreements that align with Eaton's company objectives.
  • Work closely with internal teams including marketing, product management, project management and engineering, to ensure a seamless customer experience and the BD team throughout dealings.
  • Drive accountability with BDMs to demonstrate the expected Eaton behaviors to deliver on their sales and margin targets.
  • Ensure the maintenance and review of accurate and up-to-date records of sales activities and pipeline management using Salesforce.
  • Build a pipeline of high performing and diverse product management team that apply their skills and different perspectives.

Qualifications:

  • Electrical Engineering Degree or Trade Certificate; MBA preferred.
  • Minimum of 15 years of experience, preferably in the electrical industry.
  • Knowledge and experience in power distribution solutions and services in the ANZ electrical market, specifically MV/LV switchgear.
  • Proven ability to drive complex bids, RFPs, and RFQs.
  • Strong business and commercial acumen.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to build rapport across various levels of customers.
  • Proven ability to build relationships within complex enterprise and government clients.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate with authority.
  • Outstanding stakeholder management and interpersonal skills driven by the team's sales success.
