The expected annual salary range for this role is $120075.03 - $176110.04 a year.

What you'll do:

PRIMARY FUNCTION:
Responsible for developing and executing the Fuel and Boosting OEM product line's ( e.g. ICE - Superchargers) strategic direction globally; leading the growth strategy and all facets of product marketing, product development strategy, profitability, and technology roadmaps; and supporting the global manufacturing strategy.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Identifies customer needs for the Fuel and Boosting product line globally through frequent visits with customers, developing and strengthen relationships with key contacts and decision makers. Develop Eaton perspective on the technical trends that will be adopted by the market, to ensure Eaton product development and engineering activities align to profitable growth.
Collects and communicates Voice of Customer (VoC) inputs used to generate future innovations to solve customer needs. Takes a lead role in building consensus on the product technology roadmap, which effectively translates VoC into portfolio improvements and adjacencies. Identify product portfolio competitiveness gaps that must be closed to ensure profitable growth.
Build and improve the Pipeline of Opportunities for the business. Develop an organized and coordinated cadence with Eaton sales team and account managers to proactively engage with customer's advanced engineering & product development team to deliver new opportunities for Eaton.
Lead the global growth strategy for the business, developing the strategy and providing leadership reviews which communicate top product priorities, growth opportunities, business risks and opportunities, market share, and competitive landscape. Analyzes and shares underlying market trends and evolving regulatory requirements that lead to new opportunities in specific segments, and craft presentations that articulate those needs.
Communicates and executes the global strategic direction for the Fuel and Boosting product line that is consistent with Eaton's mission and meeting stated commitments.
Develops comprehensive price/volume strategies to support Eaton's financial performance targets. Jointly working with regional sales teams to formulate value propositions and pricing strategies. Strategies should be market driven, based on value proposition and competitive landscape.
Relentlessly monitors market dynamics, including customer and competitor developments, and recommends strategic initiatives to management. Closely work with Eaton sales and market planning teams to exchange knowledge and information on customer needs, market drivers / trends, forecast, new vehicle launches, competition activity and business intelligence.

Own and manage product and project portfolio utilizing ProPM; including maintaining latest project priorities and loading new ideas in the system. In addition, lead portfolio team to ensure alignment, and communication throughout the organization.
Drive profitability improvements globally, leveraging fix-the-tail process including pricing, operational, and supply strategies. Manage teams to ensure profitability actions are executed.

Support product line in defining strategic plan outlook, capital expenditure for growth and profit plan and strategic plan activities.

* This Hybrid - role must report on-site Tuesday- Thursday at one of our Michigan locations: Southfield, Galesburg, or Marshall.

SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE:

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelors' degree from an accredited institution.
• Minimum seven (7) years of experience in sales, program management, manufacturing, product management, product planning or engineering.
• Market knowledge/experience in the light vehicle industry, or commercial vehicle market.
• No relocation benefit is being offered for this role. All candidates considered must live within 50 miles of Southfield , Marshall or Galesburg, MI. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship both now and in the future.

Preferred Qualifications:

• MBA or equivalent preferred in Engineering or Business.
• Ability to foresee market trends and propose solutions with confidence
• Knowledge of powertrain system, driveline components and performance objectives.
• Technical knowledge on Eaton product portfolio.
• Knowledge of regional OEMs and their products.
• Competitor product knowledge.
• Experience in financial analysis especially in the areas of sales growth, profitability, and cost analysis.
• Ability to anticipate emerging issues that have the potential to impact revenue and profits.
• Demonstrated experience leading & supporting regional business initiatives.
• Business case knowledge of metrics that affect program profitability.
• Proven ability to concisely communicate market trends and the impact to business. Ability to deliver differing perspectives by providing logical interpretation of multiple perspectives and scenarios.
• Demonstrated experience in developing recommendations based on the aggregation of numerous variables and market conditions. Develops forecasts with open view of leading market drivers and indicators.
• Experience in driving aligned actions through groups that don't directly report to them.
• Project management skills: Ability to lead the planning, implementation, and evaluation of projects according to established processes; serve as a consultant for internal and external customers.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

Travel: Up to 20%. International travel will be expected for this position.

The Global Product Strategy Manager must work collaboratively with other Eaton team members to create a greater value for the customers. This individual must also be a self-starter, and aggressively partner with the global regions to define, influence, and drive product improvements in the product line. The incumbent must build positive relationships at all organizational levels internally and externally to communicate, motivate and influence change.

The position must develop an understanding of competitive landscapes, key industry factors and macroeconomic drivers.

The PSM must be able to assimilate data from a varying number of sources to develop the appropriate product strategy recommendation.
