What you'll do:

The Global Sales Lead will engage globally to ensure that key business growth initiatives (NPD, SDP & diversification) are established and delivering inline with the product line strategy and profit plans for the Devices product lines. Ensuring that core product and commercial knowledge is transferred and local teams have the process and tools to sell via the chosen channels. Actively coordinating on larger global projects with interfaces in to the GEIS major project teams. Define and engage end users / EPC relationships to drive incremental business engagement, liaising with the global projects teams to coordinate opportunities within Eaton and GEIS business. Ensuring the leverage of products across other product lines to increase profitability for the organisation.

  • Responsible for supporting orders forecasting for the product line within EMEA & and assistance globally in other regions as required
  • Globally engage and support regional ROP, NPI & SDP's to drive outgrowth
  • Leadership of core Segment focused growth initiatives where applicable per product line (Hydrogen, renewables etc)
  • Contributing to defining & implementing Go To market / Play to Win strategy for the product line in each region with GPLM's, Commercial Director, Zone Leaders and Channel Director
  • Support GPLM, Commercial Director and Regional Sales Directors in building and achieving profit plan orders & sales in region, zone and globally where applicable. Work with the EMEA and regional sales zone teams to define and implement Business Development Opportunities and Diversification Programs globally.
  • Support and contribute commercial improvements within the zones and standardise across the other regions to drive efficiency and growth.
  • Support with product line commercial training globally to ensure commercial effectiveness & efficiency.
  • Increase the product line entitlement on major global projects by actively tracking and facilitating cross regional project bids - 3mth - 18mth window
  • Responsible for developing and coordinating end user & EPC engagement globally across the product line. Ensuring specification, value proposition and growth horizons are created at FEED / pre-FEED stage. Handover to region and zone leaders as projects are awarded post-FEED stage.
  • Increase strategic position on major projects 3mnth - 18mnth window across all product lines.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's / Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering, or similar (Business & Sales related education will be considered as well), or proven experience in the same industry
  • 10+ years of sales experience, with proven track record in driving B2B sales where diagnosing complex customer needs is critical (ideally electrical area, however other relevant experiences will be considered)

Skills:

  • Experience with electrical products is a plus. Understanding of basic financial concepts such as Capex, Opex, ROI, P&L. Familiar with modern sales techniques: value sales, challenger sales gap selling.
  • Consultative selling approach is mandatory. Passion, energy, an excellent ability to question, listen and articulate complex solutions, detailed note-taking, highly collaborative with internal stakeholders. Ability to dialog and create value-adding business interactions with all type of interlocutors from a variety of backgrounds and job functions, including C-levels.
