What you'll do:
The Environmental Health & Safety Manager is to provide Environmental, Health, Safety, Security and Sustainability leadership for the Mogi Mirim facility having around 710 employees and Sales ~ US$ 110 Million. This requires a proactive approach to development and maintenance of processes to ensure compliance with applicable Federal, State and Local laws as well as Eaton's EHS Management System (MESH), including ISO 14001/OHSAS 45001 requirements and findings on a timely basis; completion of required training for EHS personnel; managing interfaces with the public and governmental authorities with adverse findings and enforcement actions; directing actions during crises; site security, creating a strong EHS culture that engages employees throughout the site in EHS teams and processes. Responsible for property security area too.

. Manage the EHS team targeting cross function engagement towards "Zero Incident Safety Culture" and 100% MESH compliance.
. Champion and lead projects designed to effectively drive improvements in our "Zero Incident Safety Culture" programs.
. Manages and directs the site to achieve EHS targets & objectives. Support of corporate and business group EHS strategic initiatives.
. Complies with Eaton's ethics policy and keeps the management team informed of issues associated with regulatory compliance.
. Provides risk assessment and counselling for EHS matters to, and as part of, senior site leadership (staff member).
. Facilitates risk assessment to identify critical EHS hazards and aspects. Works with leadership to create targets and objectives based on key EHS risks.
. Work with site leadership team and facilities to ensure that EHS operational controls are in place and that action items are resolved on a timely basis.
. Manage investigations, measurement, and evaluations of environmental, safety, and health conditions. Ensure that research, development, planning, design, and advisory activities occur.
. Interface with legal, regulatory agencies and divisional personnel to direct environmental, safety, and health efforts at the facility.
. Lead and support to assign MESH element champions and facilitate their engagement in ownership of the MESH elements.
. Create and facilitate EHS engagement through EHS teams and committees needed to accomplish the established targets and objectives.
. Lead efforts to continuously identifies, assesses, and reduces/eliminates EHS risk (including security).
. Create EHS training matrices to ensure that all training is defined and tracked to completion.
. Provides expertise in trouble shooting problems related to chemical and physical processes including machining, heat treating and waste treatment.
. Maintains a secure facility by providing coordination of the contracted security company and applicable security measures for the facility.
. Performs other incidental and other duties as required and assigned.
. Support outside evaluations on designated location.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering
- Preferred Master's degree in safety engineering
- Consistent experience in Environmental Health and Safety experience in Manufacturing environment
- Portuguese and English conversational skills are required.
