Eaton's ES AMER ESS division is currently seeking a General Welder Intern - 2nd shift to join our team on Badger Dr. in Waukesha, WI!
The hourly rate for this position is $24.50 per hour.
The core hours are 3 pm - 8 pm.

What you'll do:
The General Welder Intern will operate various types of welding equipment in both Transformer assembly lines for general production work. This may include low voltage welding, welding on stainless and mild steel covers, welding radiators onto the tanks, and using the robotic welder. This is a select position, and all candidates will be required to interview.

In this function, you will:
• Use weld fabrication equipment including plasma arc torch, tig-welder, mig-welders, robotic mig welder, grinders, drills, and any other special tooling that may be required.
• Work from basic prints, computer readouts, written and verbal instructions and material lists using judgment when complete prints are not available.
• Operate various types of material handling equipment including bridge cranes, jib cranes, and manually operated hand trucks when necessary.
• Place both weld-on and bolt-on covers to units - giving them a pressure test using air and soap.
• Perform Low voltage aluminum and copper welding and mild and stainless-steel cover welding
• Work in Transformer assembly positions as needed
Qualifications:
Required (Basic) Qualifications:
• High School Diploma/ GED Equivalent OR currently enrolled with a technical college pursuing a welding certificate.
• Must pass the Eaton General Welding Test.
• Must be able to work in the US without requiring company sponsorship now or in the future.
• Relocation benefits not included. Only candidates living within 50 miles of Waukesha WI will be considered. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.

• Ability to work overtime when required.
• Ability to lift to 50 LBS; bend, twist, grab, reach, stand, walk, push, pull, use both hands to lift and lower materials, and perform all other essential duties with or without reasonable accommodations
