What you'll do:

The Financial Analyst assists in daily Oracle projects maintenance, record updating and transaction-level analysis. Month- end responsibilities will include processing journal entries and routine financial reporting. This position will support audits and control documentation.

In this function you will:

• Heavy participation in the month end close process of Oracle projects and inventory modules;
• Month end reporting, and analysis;
• Prepare reports for management and Integrated Product Teams (IPTs);
• Complete Project invoicing from Oracle and maintain internal invoicing control documents;
• Support the business unit in audits, assessments, review of corrective actions and risk mitigation;

Qualifications:

Basic Requirements:

  • A minimum of a Bachelors Degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business from an accredited institution
  • A minimum of 1 year of experience working with general ledger and journal entries
  • A minimum of 1 year of demonstrated experience using Excel to create templates, use formulas such as vlookup, index, match, etc
  • Relocation is not provided. All candidates must currently within 75 miles of Eaton's facility in Orchard Park, NY
  • All candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future
  • This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. "Green Card Holder"), Political Asylee or Refugee.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills must be able to function in a multi-cultural environment.
• Intermediate/Advanced Excel user
• Detail Orientated
• Oracle or SAP experience preferred
• Cost-plus or cost type contract experience
