We are seeking an experienced Field Product Manager Enclosures - Middle East to join our team in UAE.
What you'll do:
The Field Product Manager Enclosures - Middle East is responsible to define and drive Product strategy implementation in the region. His/her role will be to gather VOC, product launching, new product developments, support sales teams and customers in the region. He/she will work closely with sales team, EMEA product Lines, marketing communication and supply chain team to ensure customer satisfaction and revenues goals are met.
The Product Manager will also serve as the internal and external specialist for our product offerings and will possess a unique blend of business and technical savvy, focused on panel building, project and retail business.
Key Responsibilities:
- In charge of Product lifecycle management: launching, maturity, end of Life and substitution of Enclosures and LV systems product range.
- Define Price strategy (by country) to meet market requirements in the region
- Drive New Product Launches to meet Profit plan and Middle East strategic plan.
- In charge of Competitive assessment in the region to identify and work on gap closure
- Provide business solutions and advises to panel building customers improving their performance
- Ensure products are following Local trademarks in each country in the region.
- Support the achievement of sales target for Enclosures & systems products in Middle East as well as the achievement of Local & End to End margins target for Enclosures & systems products in Middle East
- Market gap & product fit analysis
- Use intimate understanding of customers, their markets, buying habits and pain points to help shape Eaton's business strategy, as well as customer & project targeting
- Develop and execute an action plan in cooperation with the local sales team to grow product sales (target specific customers, markets, channel, value prop)
- Provide intimate VoC and regulatory insight to Business Units to support new product development
- Develop and support execution of product promotions and incentives
- Prepare for and participate in customer & channel events (key-note speeches, Seminars, presentations & technical product support)
- Sales and partner enablement: validation, creation and delivery of technical trainings to sales teams, partners and customers
- Support specific projects or negotiations together with sales team (to improve win-rate etc)
- Support Eaton Partner in local type testing
Qualifications:
- Electrical engineering graduate
- 10-15 years of experience acquired with a reputed Panel Builder or a similar role with a Switchgear manufacturer which should have allowed you to develop an excellent understanding of the Middle East markets, channels and the related competitive landscape
- Experience in working in a comparable marketing / product management role
Skills:
- Good presentation skills - Good communication skills with strong analytical and project management skills.
- Strong technical knowledge of following is required:
- LV Switchgears
- Power distribution components / Circuit breakers (Industrial control and drives is a plus)
- Network design & switchgear design software tools / Quotation software tools / shop drawings
- Strong panel building business knowledge / Lean manufacturing processes / engineering & production.
- Deep Knowledge in IEC 61439 standard
- Good understanding of electrical products and technologies
- Marketing education is an advantage
- Understanding business basics including revenue projections, business metrics and financial planning, as well as pricing.
- Presentation skills: the ability to be persuasive in front of customers, partners, industry influencers, competitors, policymakers
- Fluent in English - Knowledge of Arabic is an advantage
- Experience in working with cross functional teams in a dynamic environment
- Experience of working within a matrix organization
- Translation of technical features into commercial messaging
