Eaton's ES AMER ARS division is currently seeking a Fabrication Operations Manager. This position is based at our Sumter, SC Commercial Products & Assemblies (CPA) manufacturing facility. Relocation assistance is available for candidates currently residing in the United States.
The expected annual salary range for this role is $123750.0 - $181500.0 a year. This position is also eligible for a variable incentive program.

As a member of the Senior Leadership Team, the primary function of the Operations Manager for the Fabrication function is to develop strategic direction and lead key manufacturing processes to ensure production objectives are met according to safety, quality and customer requirements. The Operations Manager - Fabrication supports the operation's strategic plan by producing components that meet customer order/ delivery requirements and product quality standard in the most efficient manner. This individual engages all employees in a continuous improvement culture and sponsors/facilitates continuous improvement activities and learning. They will oversee all aspects of sheet steel and bus fabrication, ensuring the efficient production of high-quality fabricated materials for internal manufacturing lines and other Eaton plants.

Additional Responsibilities:
- Oversee sheet steel fabrication processes, including laser cutting, turret punching, press brake bending, powder coat painting, and kitting.
- Manage bus fabrication processes, including punching, bending, and kitting.
- Lead the trim door and box fabrication and assembly process, including steel, spot-weld, material flow, and assembly.
- Lead a team of over 250 employees across 4 shifts.
- Ensure the timely delivery of fabricated materials to internal manufacturing lines and other Eaton plants.
- Drive safety, quality, delivery, WIP inventory, and productivity performance.
- Implement continuous improvement (CI) initiatives and leverage the latest technologies and Industry 4.0 (I4.0) tools.
- Foster a culture of accountability and strong productivity that inspires and motivates teams to achieve high performance levels.
- Support the plant's growth driven by data centers, energy transition, and renewables by developing and executing a vision for future state fabrication.
- Understand the ERP system and SIOP (Sales, Inventory, and Operations Planning) activities to ensure ongoing effective planning and performance.
Qualifications:
Basic (required) Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university
- Five (5) years of experience managing people and/or project teams in a fabrication environment
- Three (3) years of cross-functional experience working with production scheduling, engineering, and customer service functions
- Eligible to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or similar technical field from an accredited university
- Experience with sheet steel fabrication and/or copper/aluminum bus fabrication
- Experience in an ETO/CTO fabrication and assembly environment
- Knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies and Industry 4.0 tools
