Eaton's IS AER FED division is currently seeking a FAA Certified Repairman-Inspector.

The hours for this role are 7:00am-3:30pm

The hourly rate for this position is $26.50 per hour.

What you'll do:

PRIMARY FUNCTION

Please note, certain duties performed by this role require this position to be subject to the guidelines of our Repair Station Certificate and are subject to DOT drug testing

The FAA Certified Repairman / Inspector is responsible for maintenance functions of Repair Station and Customer Returns department. This position is FAA certified. Position requires compliance with customer specifications, manufacturer specifications, and applicable Code of Federal Regulations (CFR's). This position will inspect to proper technical techniques on articles of which they are certified.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Performs product acceptance inspections and methods to validate product/component characteristics per print/drawing requirements using various inspection tools.
• Records failure analysis results in various software programs.
• Performing initial evaluation of field returns noting physical, electrical and mechanical compliance to product standards.
• Performing calibration and acceptance test procedures using latest revision supplement sheets, calibration data sheets, procedures and routings to ensure compliance.
• Ordering and monitoring materials or parts to successfully perform the required article maintenance.
• Ensuring that Measuring and Test Equipment are used when applicable and are properly maintained and calibrated before use.
• Expediting, monitoring work performed on repairs through manufacturing work cells to ensure that all contractual obligations to customer are fulfilled in the committed cycle time.
• Completing the necessary maintenance entries for the maintenance, which he/she performed or is responsible for.
• Interface with Manufacturing Engineering as required, to successfully analyze and repair manufactured product.
• Ensuring that the inspection tools and equipment, including inspection aids, used to perform inspections are in proper working order and the proper calibration information is affixed.

Qualifications:

Basic Requirements
• High School Diploma or GED from accredited institution
• Repair Station experience
• Resides within 50 miles of location
• US person within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a US person as a US Citizen, US Permanent resident (Green Card Holder), Political Asylee, or Refugee

Preferred
• Technical Associates Degree
• 18 Months of Repair Station experience

SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE

• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and prints.
• Ability to use precision mechanical measurement equipment.
• Knowledge of mechanical inspection techniques.
• Knowledge of geometric dimensions and Tolerances.
• Ability to interact with co-workers and customer/supplier representatives.
• General knowledge of computers and ability to use various software systems.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

• This position is Safety Sensitive and is subject to random testing under our Drug and Alcohol Abatement program
• Position requires use of PPE - Safety glasses, safety shoes, gloves as needed
