We are looking for an Estimator to support PDSS to achieve orders growth target by leading activities to compile technical and commercial offers. We are looking for someone to own end to end bid proposals by defining successful bid strategies, unique selling points and customer specific requirements.

What you'll do:

  • Gathering proposals, blueprints, specifications, and related documents.
  • Research, source, negotiate and obtain the best prices and quotes from suppliers and subcontractors.
  • Review contract documents including the scope of work, specifications, addenda, drawings and documentation at tender stage to understand project technical and commercial details.
  • Analyse, evaluate, and interpret a range of complex and technical documents, including relevant regulatory, codes and standards, plans, drawings and specifications, invitations to tender and contracts.
  • Performs risk assessment and articulate risk mitigation.
  • Write, research and check proposals - assigns right resources (SME), manage timeframes, collect data and incorporate into final submission document.
  • Evaluate subcontractor and supplier pricing.
  • Determine cost price using agree overhead / tack-on rates and gross margins.
  • Present offer to Sales BDMs to review with respect to market price expectations and negotiate internal margin adjustments.
  • Manage multiple tenders at any one time.

Qualifications:

  • At least 3 years of experience in electrical switchgear/ switchboards and installations in either Medium or Low Voltage
  • Tertiary qualification in Electrical Engineering
  • Experience in developing bid proposals, tender submission, RFI's and similar for electrical sector segments
  • Knowledge of Standards AS/NZS3000, AS2067, AS/NZS62271 suite & IEC62271 suite
  • Knowledge of Standard AS/NZS60076 - preferred.
  • SAP ERP literate preferred
