Eaton's Electrical Sector - Enclosures Manufacturing Facility team is currently seeking an Engineering Lab Supervisor to join team. This position will support our Residential Wiring Devices product line. The role will be based at our Lincoln, IL facility.
The expected annual salary range for this role is $80,250 - $117,700 a year.

What you'll do:
As an Engineering Lab Supervisor, you will be the key resource for maintaining compliance of all records, files, and test reports with UL requirements as well as other certification bodies such as CSA and ETL for all Lincoln product compliances are critical to acceptance of Lincoln products into the market. The individual will be part of a business unit cross functional team, working on documentation and work for redevelopment projects and cost out. Additionally, they will supervise Lab Technicians.

• Coordinate multiple aspects of interaction with UL and other third-party certification bodies (CSA, ETL)
• Strong working knowledge of complex UL standards specific to all Lincoln products; this is a critical skill for:
• Work with engineers to create accurate and complete datasheets for lab testing
• Review of completed reports prior to submission to UL
• Improve documentation of testing procedures in onsite testing lab
• Train new engineers and enhance current staff knowledge of UL requirements including modifications and changes that impact our products
• Participate in VAVE events as representative for UL requirements
• Strong working knowledge of complex UL files (E-files) and structure specific to all Lincoln Products; this is a critical skill for:
• Act as key contact point for UL correspondence with regard to open projects - this includes additions, modifications, corrections to UL record files
• Work with UL and CSA during Follow Up Service (FUS) audits and complete and close any Notice of Violations (VN) received
• Manage activities in the test lab including:
• Maintain test lab equipment, equipment calibration, documentation, and procedures
• Submit purchase requests for lab equipment and supplies
• Receive test lab requests and schedule testing
• Ensure compliance to test lab procedures and MESH requirements of all personnel in the test lab
• Lead annual UL Data Acceptance Program (DAP) audit and close any Non-Conformities to Requirements (NCRs) received
• Perform testing in the test lab as required
• Supervise Lab Technicians
Responsibilities related to Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS):
• Execute 100% of monthly safety inspection, in coordination with the M.E.S.H. Management of Environment, Safety, Security, and Health Policies.
• Complete all EHS Environment, Health, and Safety training assigned
• Leads M.E.S.H Elements for assigned area or category
Qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:
• Minimum 1 year of experience in manufacturing or electrical testing environment
• Associate Degree from an accredited institution required
• Legally authorized to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship now or in the future.
• No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of the work location will be considered. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience with UL standards and testing
• Experience with electrical device testing
• Experience supervising personnel
• Experience with Electronic, mechanical, electro-mechanical, and software is preferred
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an accredited institution
