What you'll do:

"As a Technical Engineer, you provide design assistance and application support to the Eaton ESS (Electrical Systems and Solutions) business unit and quotation teams in the territory/market for electro-technical applications and enhance the value generated for customers. Provide necessary safety precautions and calculations during FEED, quotation and pre-order stage, in accordance with company guidelines and procedures, to reach a for all parties involved acceptable solution for complex technical issues..
You will work within the Technical Estimation Team and will report to the Teamleader who reports into the Pre Order and Post Order ESS EMEA Management Leader. "

"1. Initiate Technical Offers: Develop and present technical offers based on received quotations, ensuring adaptive and competitive solutions.

2. Product Knowledge: Maintain and expand expertise in product knowledge and specification interpretation of electrical low and medium voltage assemblies and other Eaton products.
3. Data Management: Recognize and obtain missing data from price quote exception requests to ensure management visibility and integrity of pricing processes.
4. Innovative Engineering: Demonstrate initiative and innovative thinking in electrical product applications and value-added engineering opportunities to maximize profitability.
5. Cross-Functional Support: Provide cross-functional support for technical clarifications and maintain a database for efficiency and knowledge sharing.
6. Pricing Efficiency: Develop a command of features, benefits, and pricing standards to improve efficiency and reduce turnaround time in supporting sales.
7. Historical Data Analysis: Evaluate historical data, competitive information, and product features to develop customer/product-specific pricing.
8. Technical Queries: Address technical queries from the team, conduct knowledge sharing sessions (KSS), and enhance team technical competence.
9. Team Performance: Maintain and review team performance regularly, generating insights and improvement plans.
10. Quotation Process Management: Determine, instruct, and drive the technical quality and content of the quotation process, including reading and interpreting customer specifications, creating compliance lists, analyzing electrical load requirements, writing technical RFQs, advising on third-party materials, and ensuring clean handovers to order management and manufacturing engineering systems.
11. Electrical Load Analysis: Analyze electrical load requirements, calculate voltage drop, and determine appropriate circuit protection to propose suitable Medium Voltage solutions to clients.
12. Technical Documentation: Write technical papers on the application of Eaton's Medium Voltage, RMU, and Transformer products when applicable.
13. Compliance and Deviation Lists: Create compliance, deviation, and exception lists against customer specifications in line with Eaton's solutions for Medium Voltage Switchgear, Ring Main Units, and Transformer applications.
14. Project Supervision: Execute and supervise multiple projects in parallel while meeting requested return dates of the quotation engineer/project manager.
15. Technical Expertise: Inform and advise Eaton colleagues, customers, and third parties about technical possibilities of products, systems, and services during FEED, quotation, and pre-order stages to build and maintain strong relationships."

Qualifications:

Graduate in Engineering (Electrical / Electronics).
Minimum 6-8 years of experience in Switchgear estimation/quotation

Skills:

"1.Application & Architectural knowledge of MV electrical systems, RMUs, distribution transformers and packaged substations
2.Build a comply, deviate & exclude specification library. (Product and Market Specific)
3.Knowledge about Safety and Control systems and (Inter)national standards
4.Knowledge about Application, electrical and mechanical Engineering, Calculation, Studies and Manufacturing methods.
5.Possession of necessary computer skills including: Adobe Acrobat, AutoCAD, Microsoft Office applications, and other product configuration tools
6.Improving the quality of our technical offer to the customers
7.SIX SIGMA and OPEX/CI knowledge is desirable
