What you'll do:

The primary responsibility of this role is to design and develop Medium Voltage Assemblies (MV GIS) to meet customer specific technical, cost and market related technology requirement in accordance with IEC/IEEE/UL standards. Candidate will have the opportunity to design, validate & release Medium Voltage Assemblies & MV GIS; Candidate should be familiar with FEA and FEA tools for performing and interpreting basic static FEA simulations.
provide support to new product production orders; support on prototype development and preparing type test plan and product certification with UL. Implement best Dfx practices within product design phase.
Develop best practices working closely with teammates from Eaton India Innovation Center (Pune) and various facilities in US for New Product Development.

1. Demonstrated capability in design and development of Medium Voltage Assemblies (MV GIS) productline.
2. Must be proficient in CAD software programs such as AutoCAD, Autodesk Inventor, Pro-E, Solid works, or Ideas. Should be able to create new detail and assembly drawings (mechanical, electrical, or electronic) for new designs of the most complex nature.
3. Able to support production order issues from MOL support and maintain timeline for the deliverables.
4. Own NPI Projects and ensure timely & quality deliverables for milestones, Gates etc.
5. Ability to excel as a team player by successfully collaborating with engineering peers as well as cross-functional personnel to ensure custom designs meet customer expectations
6. Possess the appropriate project management skills to take the lead position on small to medium development projects
7. Demonstrate a solid foundation in mechanical, electrical or electronic principles
8. Should understand MV product design standards IEC / UL / IEEE
9. Come up with NTI/NPI ideas, pitch them in water lining, get the funded projects & drive them to launch.
10. Be capable of writing articles for trade and technical publications, presenting papers and preparing patent disclosures.
11. Possess sound problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze product failure issues sufficiently to drive them to root cause
13. Must be collaborate with SCM to develop prototype and perform development test for NPI
14. Effectively utilize EIIC Eco-system like Test Lab, Digital Org, CDP&T capabilities for building & maturing the cost out portfolio.
15. Fluent in written and verbal communication in a global environment
16. Knowledge of Lean six sigma. DFSS/DMAIC certification desirable.

Qualifications:

Master's/Bachelor's degree in engineering preferably Mechanical
4 Years in MV Electrical Switchgear Design and Development

Skills:

- Mechanical Design and drawing knowledge for Electromechanical products
- Having knowledge of Medium Voltage Switchgear and MV GIS
- Understanding office/ UL / IEEE standards
- Understanding of MV Switchgear Manufacturing processes
- Experience of leveraging analytics for NPI"

- Influencing Skills able to manage global stakeholders
- Fluent in English and able to communicate with team
- Experience to work with cross functional team
- Ability to interpret data from multiple sources to determine final requirements.
